another shelf would not fit and the boxsets take up almost 1.5 shelves.

Grabbed the gf's camera so I could finally post in this thread.

Not a huge collection or anything mindblowing, but it works for me.

I'm liking what I see there.

The lack of toys and clutter around the TV is what appeals to me.

These are the shelves I just picked up at the DDD sale. Apparantly they are supposed to house 640 DVD's but as it stands my collection is just short of 500 and as you can see I'm pretty much out of space now.

**edit** ok, this should work now!

It seems that yahoo does not like to have there pictures shown on another site. I just copied the link and used in a separate browser and now I can see them.

So you did do it right.

DVDMagic...like the shelves you got. The ones that you have laying down...is there enough room to stand them up vertically, or do you have no choice because of the amount of space left there?

Unfortunately it was the only way I could accomodate my collection. They were shelving that I bought from DDD on the last sale that claimed to hold 640 DVD's. My collection is just shy of 500 with them stacked like that. They are adjustalke shelves, but if I were to move them so they were all the same I would lose shelve space for the DVD's.

So has anyone had a stack of blank cases signed? You just get whatever autograph you can, and put the DVD inside the autographed case. You could also swap cases with the one you want if an actor/director won't sign a certain film.

By COLOR ... I've always been curious to see how that would look.

Looks great, truemindframe.

Truemindframe:

I like your set-up.

So, I guess two things:

1) Your DVD room is where your dining room should be?

2) You color co-ordinate your DVD's?

Thanks! Alphabetical just got so boring.. color coding just makes the collection FLOW so nicely and it's like a piece of art =)

I got them all from special film events like premieres and book signings in NYC over the past few years.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.. my DVDs are my pride and joy =)

1) Well, I do "feast" on my films.. yes, the dining room has been converted

2) Color coordination is the wave of the future

I like that idea. It is appealing to the eyes, yes.

I think your set-up is really nice. Very classy. Well done.
