I believe it was Best Buy in the US. I bought mine at Future Shop here in Canada which is owned by Best Buy.

Truemindframe: props on the SmashingPumpkins set, I've never seen it anyone else's collection. And whatever is to the left of Punch Drunk Love doesn't fit color-wise.

Thanks.. I'm a big SP fan

And as for the film to the left of Punch Drunk Love.. it's Orgazmo. Light blue and black and white.. doesn't really fit well with the blues and def not with the blacks so I don't know what to do with it! LOL
As a color coordinator it's difficult when studios release DVDs with multi colored spines. It drives me nuts sometimes.. good thing my life isn't that hectic and DVD spines are the main thing that causes me stress

BECAUSE SINGLE104 DEMANDED IT! Here is my humble collection of crap!

Nothing too fancy, just a 60 inch Magnavox rear projection TV, a very average Magnavox DVD player and an average Sony sound system.

No idea how many DVDs I have. There is one other shelf that I couldn't get into the picture because of the way my home office (aka toy room) is configured. The last shelf has all my T through Z DVDs, including the X-Files.

Now the fun stuff.

My wife doesn't allow me to play video games on the big screen, so I have this 27 inch Magnavox connected to all my gaming consoles

My PC and some of my mini busts and statues.

My collection of Homers from the Playmates line. Oh, yeah, it's complete. I have every Homer they produced.

A few of my Batman statues, and you can see yet some more Homers underneath.

The Brain, a few Spider-Men, my UH helmet, a piece of the 1994-95 Houston Rockets home floor, and an autographed Nolan Ryan baseball. You can also see a few of my books. I have three full shelves of books, and more than 40 long boxes of comic books.

Some robot guys roaming above a few of my trade paperbacks.

I'm also a fan of Kevin Smith and the View Askew Universe.

Even more crap.

Now please no threadcrapping!

I love seeing collections that focus on a few characters, so that Homer collection is quite cool. It's always cool to see the various figs that have come out. What is that stack of books behind your NES? Comics, magazines, some other publications...that should be under your mattress?

Most were available at places like Targe. Some were exclusives I had to hunt down. Some of the hardest to get were those that were part of other sets (Treehouse of Horror 1, 2, and 3). Those I picked up on eBay over the years.

I picked that up at the now defunct Warner Bros. store. It was on clearance and I ended up paying like $10 for it.

I'm like a little kid. Seriously.

Ha! They're mostly old Maxim magazines.

Those are all from DC Direct, although the Animated Batman in the middle is actually an action figure.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Have been meaning to post these for forever so here you go.

More

The whole tiny living room

Monkey head and around

Angel and Buffy customs that took me forever, each cover is a differant character from that season.

Batman customs, almost every bit of Batman on dvd

Just about everything David Lynch has directed

General shot of the shelves

I used to have a lot of my figures with my collection in my old place but when I moved and got about 400 more dvds I had to retire them all. Now they have a whole room to themselves with all of my books.

So yeah, thats my pride and joy.

People who display their Showgirls set with pride make me happy in my heart.

I love that whole set-up Davie50. I am especially impressed that you have so much on display in such a small space but it doesn't look the least bit cluttered. Good form.

Yeah, got the Patrick Bateman figure at a Spencers in some mall somewhere, I think in Greensboro NC, it was on sale for $10.

That is one big black shelf I have there. I got it from www.storeyourmedia.com and it is supposed to hold I think it was 850 dvds, I have managed to squeeze about 950 on there. I custom make most of my tv show box sets into one case that holds 6 discs. I am having to curtail my spending until I move into a bigger place. Gotta get out of college first one of these years.

Glad you guys like the collection. I have been working on getting it just right so I could post the pics on this site.

Davie -

Very nice collection - I like the custom covers very much. I've also never heard of some of those Lynch films - I'll have to check them out. I just recently became a devotee.

Madcougar -

I also collect the Playmates Simpsons figures, and have been looking for a couple of your Homers at decent prices for some time now. I'm a little jealous. I'm kind of anxious now to pull the old collection out of storage and display them again. The only ones I have out are the EB exclusive Radioactive Man/Fallout Boy set - they're on top of my cable box.

cheers,

-the Jesus

Yeah, some of the David Lynch stuff you may not have heard of is Hotel Room which is a HBO show he did, and On the Air, another show for ABC that was short-lived. Got them on Ebay for a good price.
David Lynch is by far my favorite director and it was fun getting all of his movies, got all of the soundtracks also, and most of the posters that are available.

Glad you guys like my stuff.

My friends always see my collection and say I obviously have to much time on my hands. But I knew you guys would understand the custom covers, figures, monkey head, etc.
