I'll get mine on Friday or Saturday at Best Buy for 34.99. What a rip off that place was you had seen it in.

That's how much it's going to be here, in Canada.

Yeah. There's not much of a difference anymore. However, we still get fucked.

So what's the best price on this? BB seems like the cheapest so far?

It depends if you want the Exclusive Bonus Disc(Best Buy) 35.99 (Shipping & Taxes for a total of 40.90)

Fye.com has it for 39.99 with a seperate $10 rebate coupon. There is a 10% off coupon (WELCOMEMPTEN)+plus "Budget" shipping
For me it would be $42.73ttl then less the $10 rebate(10+weeks)=Net $32.73

Target and Amazon has it for 37.99

But don't quote me on it.

Strangely it seems Amazon.com is cheapest for me to buy it (I'm in England)

If you guys have a Fry's near you, it'll be $32.99 there.

No bonus disc or anything, but cheaper and no rebates.

I'm going with Target. It is $37.99 there with a free $5 target gift card. Best Buy has it for the same price with a bonus disc, but I'd rather have the $5 as I've never watched the season 1 bonus disc (or the actual extras disk for that matter).

If you buy on iTunes. Circuit City has it for the same price and with a $10 iTunes GC.

I saw a couple Season 2 sets on the shelf Sunday at a Circuit City. I tried to buy it, but when the cashier rang it up she told me that they couldn't sell it until Tuesday. Oh well...

LOL, you should tell them to haggle. Tell them 'sell me this one and then pull it, or i'll report you'.

Just picked it up at WalMart.

I haven't got around to watching any of it yet, but I do have some comments on the packaging. As said in the review here on DVDTalk, I do wish they had made sure the 2 on the spine was the same height/spot as the 1 on the first season. I do LOVE the props from throughout the season for the disc art. Much different than having the characters on there again.

I probably get settled and watch the first episode here in a minute. Look for little clues that might have been missed or overlooked.

Best base price for Canadians seems to be $48.88 at deepdiscountdvd.ca
I got mine for $45 with a 10% off coupon at a local store (archambault.ca)

Just a heads up for those getting it at BB with the bonus disc :

The sets with the disc have a sticker in the lower left stating the 'exclusive bonus disc' and it's stuck on the back wrapped within the cellophane. The BB I went to seemed to be running low on those (unless there were more in the back) as I had to do a little looking for the set with the bonus disc.

My Best Buy (which is bigger than the average BB, and well-stocked) had zero copies of the bonus disc when they opened this morning - way to bait and switch people.

Bonus discs hard to find - there were none at the usual Best Buy at lunchtime, but found one out of a few available at another one near me this evening. (Then had to return the first set, but it was on the way home.)

Just finished watching 'Man of Science, Man of Faith'. Not sure if it was intentional or not, most likely it was, but I like how both the season opens and closes with making the audience wonder 'Is this a part of Lost? Do I have it on the wrong channel?' Also, I didn't realize Kate said 'Live together, die alone' in this episode. Not earth-shattering, but it was the title of the season finale.

Going to watch it now with the commentary.

I wanted the bonus disk and took a shot and ordered earlier today for in store pickup. Didnt get the bonus disk though. I dont understand the promotion if only 30 per store min? Doesnt seem to make sense. My wife is a big Lost fan so maybe I get the bonus disk on ebay or something.

Rob

I thought season 1 was much better than season 2. I do think the show will me improved for season 3.

I couldn't find any either. The media guy told me that he didn't see a single one all day with one. He even opened up another case of the DVDs for me to look through - nothing.

Oh well. I don't need the recap per se and the rest is just fluff. BB's bonus disc for S1 was MUCH better, so I'm not too upset.

What's with the first few seconds of most of the episodes not having any audio?

I'm glad I didn't waste my time going all the way to BB. I got my copy at Wal-Mart around 1 am and watched it for about 6 hours before crashing.
