Lion's Gate is going to trash this film just like they did with "High Tension"--remember the awful English dubbing track? I don't understand why studios have to treat US audiences as thought they are five years old. Of course the director has stated the original ending will be a "deleted scene" on the US dvd release. I have the UK 2-disc version and I am with everyone else who believes this is the best release. The only way Lion's Gate can redeem themselves is by including the full length UK edition on the dvd along with the US release and NOT have the ending as a supplement.

Actually, it has now been stated that Neil Marshall was the one who wanted to change the ending for the American release, so people shouldn't be too mad at Lion's Gate. It was stated that Neil Marshall told them that he never really knew how to end the film, so he wanted to try out a different ending with American audiences to see how we reacted to it. Lion's Gate said sure, we'll let you do that. They tested both endings, and the new ending tested better.
Lion's Gate said that the American DVD will also be released with the original cut of the film

I just finished this. What a cool flick. Only one thing bothered me...
swip this: I totally thought Juno killed the other girl by complete accident, i mean she was just fighting one and the girl came up behind her. I think she could've explained her way out of it. The fact that she didn't even try bothered me a bit.
btw, how do you do normal "spoiler text"? Much better than The Cave

hmmmm. could it have been:
swipe please: Maybe she was having an affair with her husband, hence the necklace with the motto on it?
If that is it, it didn't seem apparent to me . But now that I think about it... maybe.

I wonder if the dvd would contain the option to view the film with the original ending or not? I would hate to see it end up as a extra feature only. Especially since it exists in other parts of the world.
Did they release the complete Undead on dvd or not? I remember reading it was cut for pacing by about 4 minutes. And was listed as 100 minutes in the paper. Meanwhile their dvd release lists it as 104 minutes long. Is that correct or a misprint?

How nasty.
I finally saw the film just last week, and although I'd have preferred the ending without the final scene myself, I still think it's wrong to have the movie seemingly adapted for an American audience.
Just look at "The Office", "Queer as Folk", and "Coupling".
Why can't you just leave our stuff alone?

We now have a release date of Dec. 26th.
Details in the link, and some not so nice cover art. It looks like Carrie just fell into a mud hole.

But again,I have'nt seen the E.W. article,or the U.K. release,so I don't know for sure myself if this stuff is true or not.
Though it wouldn't surprise me if their were some minor barely noticeable frames cut in the R version. That seems to be the case now adays with gory films, only much less is being cut out than ever before(in most cases anyway).
I just hope the original ending is intact and I'll be picking this release up immediately
