It's Fullscreen only. I work at BBY and stock the releases.

From the Bargin Forum:

Note the second disk is "Gromit's Tail Waggin' DVD", a Walmart exclusive, and contains the bonus material found on the UK version 2 disk version of the movie (specs for the UK version listed here:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showth...03#post6743203).

That's the only official word I've heard so far.

I got it at Walmart. It has the 10 Cracking Contraptions shorts (which is why I got it). It has a 10 minute "Making of the Curse of the Were-Rabbit" which is a pretty standard behind the scenes thing. Then there's a 15 minute feature called "The Amazing World of Wallace & Gromit" which is more of an overview of Wallace and Gromit as a whole, focusing on the the inspiration of the characters, early tests, creation of the original three short films and the worldwide reaction to them. I could be mistaken but I believe this is featured on the older disc for the 3 shorts (with the white case). Theres also a quick feature on how to draw Gromit and 4 scenes from the movie. If you pop it in the computer can can print out some things such as posters, stickers, etc. It's pretty much only worth it if you don't own the 10 Cracking Contraptions short films (like me).

so it's absolutely identical to the UK 2-Disc edtion:

UK Disc 2: Additional Extras

* Making of the Were-Rabbit (9:45mins)
* Cracking Contraptions (23:49mins)
o The Soccamatic
o The Tellyscope
o The Autochef
o The Snoozatron
o The Turbo Diner
o The Bully Proof Vest
o The 525 Crackervac
o A Christmas Cardomatic
o The Snowmanotron
o Shopper 13
* The Amazing World of Wallace & Gromit (15:06mins)
* Stage Fright (11:07mins)
View this award-winning short film with an insightful commentary by its creator, Steve Box.

minus 'Stage Fright' which is on Disc one (the feature).

YMMV but most Wal-Mart's probably have it priced for 19 bucks.

They only get a certain allotment. Some stores will order TONS of them while others might only get a few (like last week's Corpse Bride bonus book. Some stores had a lot while others only got a couple).

It said $19.94 or whatever on the shelf but it rung up as 16.99.

Edit: No, you can also just buy the movie by itself. Either way, they had full and widescreen versions so make sure you check. It's noted on the front of "Were-Rabbit". Someone earlier hoped that the Cracking Contraptions would be anamorphic on this release but they are not.

I just picked up at Walmart the widescreen of "Were-Rabbit" sealed with "Grommit's Tail-Waggin' DVD" for $19.94. Also picked up "Creature Comforts" first season anamorphic for $14.34. Not bad for around $35!

I was looking at this, but noticed that there are no commentaries listed on the box. Are they only available on releases in other regions? If so, what are the chances that another release will contain the commentaries?

That was something I was looking forward to, as I'm sure I missed several jokes.

I was surprised to see that the Cracking Contraptions shorts were non-anamorphic on the Wal-Mart bonus disc.

I pulled out our old R2 copy of the Cracking Contraptions shorts, and they were presented in 16:9 enhanced glory.

I wonder if they will be 16:9 enhanced on the upcoming UK disc?

Incase anyone is going to hit the Van Nuys, CA WalMart, don't believe the sales people when they tell you they are sold out of W&G. Go to the toy department where there is a nice big stand full of DVDs and bonus DVDs. I was there just now and they are very well stocked.

And, you are correct. It's a good thing I have the internet, otherwise I may have waited for a release with the commentary.

I donīt think the 10 Cracking Contraptions shorts were ever in Anamorphic. Not in R2 either. However, I cannot confirm this. Maybe someone who has it can.

UPDATE: Actually, they were made in 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen. ... according to this website

$14.77 at the Walmart in Oakland, CA. While not anamorphically enhanced, this is one of the better bonus discs from Walmart since they started offering them with select releases.

I went to BB and the double disk set had only full screen. everyone of them . I just went to Walmart and got the widescreeen with the extra disk. I refuse to buy FF dvd's. I rather do without it. I can always pick up the other disk by itself when i get that BB coupon later.

If I already have the W&G Three Adventures disc with the 10 shorts, is there anything worthwhile on the Walmart disc to warrant spending extra for it?
