Seriously, I love me some Nathan Fillion, but the dude is a show killer.
1. Two Guys and a Girl
2. Pasadena
3. Miss Match
4. Firefly
5. He appeared in the last 4 (or so) episode of Buffy
6. Drive
Now if only he could work his magic on Lost and Desperate Housewives.

I wasn't going to double-dip, but that package is too sexy ... and it's a Universal disc with "disc art"! (i.e., not just a silver surface with text ... we get a black background with text!)

But is this worth buying if they're going to re-release the same thing in HD in the next year? I really want the River Tam sessions and the new commentary, but when HD finally dies and this gets a Blu-Ray release, that would be my 3rd time to purchase it. I think I'll wait.

I don't see this being re-released on HD. The bonus features were all shot in Standard-Def video, so there wouldn't be much point in reissuing the movie just to get that when the HD video and audio transfers won't be changing.

I was hoping it would be a steelbook.

Hmmm. I'm debating this one at the moment. I already own the first release. I consider myself a fan of the show and movie (as well as Whedon's other work), but I don't know if I've even watched the old release more than once. Still, this one looks pretty nice. Packaging looks better though a bit too bulky. The new extras sound somewhat interesting and I'd love to listen to the new commentary. I could probably save a few bucks, but this release won't be too expensive....

I can't believe how massive the box is. They could have put it a regular digipack like Taxi Driver and cut down on space. The new box is almost as wide as the TV show box set.

What comic would it be? Those Left Behind? I'm curious about this comic, because I'm probably heading to BB that day anyway, and might as well pick this disc up there if there's something decent that's exclusive. Wait. Does universal use billingual covers in Canada? I've ordered most of my DVDs from the states in the past few years and I honestly don't even know anymore...
I think the only reason I'd get this would be to listen to the new commentary.

Well, I just sold my old copy on Half.com so I will definitely be visiting Best Buy this Tuesday.
