Glad to see this finally becoming a reality, but that gold box is hid.e.ous.

Yes, that packaging truly is the fruit of the ugly tree. I do like the "Red Lodge" road effect - remove that sepia crap, center the title, and drop that "gold" nonsense, and give me some nice, deep Douglas Fir green, and then we'll be talking.

There are just so many choices for a "theme" for this box set. Why they seem to be making up their own thing entirely doesn't make sense. They could release two boxes: a White Lodge Edition and a Black Lodge Edition and I wouldn't care.

Anyway, I'm glad that I held off on Season 2 (especially since I don't have the Season 1 set). Now I can get the whole show in one fell swoop.

Temp art or not, that's some hideous looking packaging. I'll hold back ebaying everything until the specs on this thing leak.
I hope the longed for remastered pilot is included and eventually gets released separately for those of us who may choose to hang on to the Artisan release and purchased the crappy international DVD.

Fox owns the rights to M*A*S*H the movie and the series. Thats why they were able to include it in that set. New Line owns the rights to to the Twin Peaks film and Paramount owns the rights to the series.
Unless some big deal can be worked out between the two (and I doubt it), the movie won't be included.

More news about this upcoming set from tvshowsondvd.com:
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7506
Key points:
- Everybody hates the proposed coverart.
- The pilot would not be available separately.
- As of now, deleted scenes would not be available in the set as Paramount does not want to pay the cost of the remastering.
- No word whether they will be correcting the audio issues.

Well, I think as of now my plan is to wait for others to review/purchase this first and to see if -
1) the Pilot has been remastered or is better in any way from the Region 0 DVD I currently have and
2) to make sure the Season 1 episodes are of the same quality (or better) as the Artisan set.
If those 2 things happen I will purchase this set immediately. If the pilot is still in terrible condition I'll stay away from this until that can finally be done right.
