Release Date.

Interesting move from Warner ... the Maltese Falcon set is 3-discs housed in 2 thinpak cases. Has anyone read any reviews on this yet?

I'm hoping its 2 discs facing each other instead of being stacked, al la the 2-disc TCM set.

btw, it's $22.99 at Best Buy. I was in Circuit City to get X3 and forgot to check their price.

Picked it up for $19.99 at my local Borders today. haven't opened it yet, though.

It is also $19.99 at Target. I am really impressed by this release.

Robert Harris claims, "The Maltese Falcon was taken through a digital clean-up based upon new preservation elements. The result on DVD is a representation of the film better than anything that I've ever seen."

1 of my 2 local Targets had it as well. Only had 2 copies so I snatched one up.

No scan, I'll snap a photo later if you want. LMK.

Loads on the side.

The two discs with the extras, one on each side when you open the case...

Think Hellboy: DC or Firefly: TCS ... except with only two cases.
