I had this in my hand today...sort of.
So there I was, wandering around the DVD racks of my local W H Smiths in London (UK) looking for a present for someone, when I walk past the music DVD's and see a copy of the Pulse DVD on the rack.
Hold on, I thought...don't get excited, it's bound to say on the box that it's awaiting release or something.
I picked it up, looked at it, nothing on the cover to that effect. So I thought either some copies were initially given to retailers and were withdrawn, but this one was'nt...or it was just a display case that had inadvertently left out.
So I picked it up, and went to the counter with it. Smiths is one of those stores that keeps the actual DVD's behind the counter and leaves empty cases on the shelves, so the guy went to the back to look. After a couple of minutes of looking, I knew it was not looking good.
He came back and said they were sold out?! I asked if he was sure it had sold out, as it had never been officially released. He checked on the PC, and eventually agreed and said the UK release date was now slated for 16/01.
I knew it was too good to be true, but y'know just for a second there...

www.brain-damage.co.uk has this update.
Back in November 2005, we brought you a slight date shift for the long-awaited, and much delayed, 2DVD release of Pink Floyd's PULSE; today we spoke with EMI, where we received another update on the release date. It's not good news, with the release date having moved yet again!
The worldwide release had been moved to hit the stores on/around 16th January 2006. However, there have been further, undisclosed delays which mean that this DVD has been put back again, and no date is currently available.
It is possible that it might appear in March/April, but indeed, could turn out to be later in the year.

If it's really around April...they might as well ready it for an HD-DVD release.

Amazon does that until something is more concrete.

Don't shoot the messenger, but at least you'll have plenty of time to clear your Calendar.

As many of you know, the release date has been delayed time and time again - this was to include technical additions and modifications. The new release date for the DVD should give them enough time to ensure all is working fine on the DVD, and will be in the stores on September 18th, 2006, worldwide.
Please note that we are suffering meltdown on PULSE emails, so won't enter into any email correspondence over the delays, neither will we forward (what are in some cases) abusive emails to EMI or the Floyd's management concerning the delays. ALL THE INFO is shown here, and any additional information that comes through will be added to the site promptly.

Boy, if they keep this up, they won't need to change the thread title.

Dman! Actually, I had forgotten all about this one, but knew it was supposed to happen soon, guess it not as soon now.
