As anxious as I am (and everyone else) to get my hands on this release, if it means we will have a superior release then the wait will be worth it. Why rush it and not get all the goodies (but technical and content) and wind up complaining a crappy job was done.
We've waited this long what's a few more months. The pressure will be on the producers to deliver a top notch product.

Maybe they should rename this the 'hell finally froze over' edition if it ever actually gets released. Because amazon still has no definite date listed, I'm betting we may not even see it this year.

PINK FLOYD PULSE DVD - FINAL, CONFIRMED DATE
Pink Floyd's PULSE
coming on DVD...finally!
Judging by the battering our inbox has had over the last couple of years, Pink Floyd's PULSE DVD should be a hot seller! Much delayed, the 2 disc set boasts many goodies, and we've today been given what we are told is the final, confirmed release date.
As many of you know, the release date has been delayed time and time again - this was to include technical additions and modifications. The new release date for the DVD should give them enough time to ensure all is working fine on the DVD, and will be in the stores on September 18th, 2006, worldwide.
Please note that we are suffering meltdown on PULSE emails, so won't enter into any email correspondence over the delays, neither will we forward (what are in some cases) abusive emails to EMI or the Floyd's management concerning the delays. ALL THE INFO is shown here, and any additional information that comes through will be added to the site promptly.

This one has turned into those 'Let It Be is coming to DVD' type titles for me. It's coming, no wait, a few months from now, no wait, end of the year, well, no, wait. Obviously there are some reasons we aren't in the know about as to why it hasn't been released yet.....'technical additions' don't take years, unless they're waiting for breakthroughs in science or something. The only reason they're likely giving a September 2006 date is to hopefully keep from being besieged with e-mail asking when, when, when. If they ever decide to release it I'll buy it, but I'm like pinata242, they might as well wait to release it in an HD format at this point.

They can release it in HD, but since it was shot on 4:3 standard video, probably Beta SP or digibeta, it's really not going to look any better than 625/50i or 576p (PAL since it was shot at Earls Court), so they should really just release a dvd. An HD release would do wonders for the sound, with alleged "lossless" codec for audio.

Anybody know the exact (ever-changing) release date on this. DDD is showing 4/25/06, Amazon 9/12/06, Bestbuy 9/19/06.
Just wanted to know if I should be gettting ready to buy or get ready to wait another 5 months!

Judging by the battering our inbox has had over the last couple of years, Pink Floyd's PULSE DVD should be a hot seller! Much delayed, the 2 disc set boasts many goodies, and we've today been given, from our friends at Pink Floyd Management, the final, confirmed release date.
As many of you know, the release date has been delayed time and time again - this was to include technical additions and modifications. At the start of the year, we received what was then a confirmed date of September 18th.
However, it was clear from various comments that David Gilmour was extremely keen to get the DVD released earlier. All the stops have been pulled out, and the new, final release date will be July 10th (UK/Europe) and July 11th (USA/Canada/elsewhere).

EMI UK have this on their new release schedule (posted today) for 10th July.
They are also doing a big campaign around the release and reducing the price of Pink Floyd CD albums for the month of july to coincide with the DVD release.
it looks like it's finally coming (region 2 PAL at least!)
