True, but did all the extras make it?

For what it's worth, DDD has Season 2 listed at $36 (release date of 12/20/05).

And there's no way I'm paying that much for this set.

By the way, any word on whether any new episodes have been, or will be, filmed? These twenty episodes (the ten that just aired and the ten starting next January) were all filmed this past spring.

My mistake, I guess the deleted scenes aren't on there. I thought the featurette was though?

Yeah but the problem with that is that BB won't be releasing exclusive sets everytime. If they were going to I would have bought it because I do prefer the Sky One opening sequence but I want continuity both in the video presentation, and shelf appearance.

I thought it was funny......on the BB site when I checked out the differences between the two sets they were sold out of the exclusive but had the U.S. release. When I showed up at the store they had tons of copies of the UK version but only one copy of the U.S. version.

TVonDVD has an update on Battlestar Galactica 2.0 including coverart and a vague idea on the specs.

I especially like this line:

Want more? You got it! Look no further than this boxset if you want to see exclusive sneak peaks of upcoming episodes before they air!
LOL! So, episode previews are now being touted as valid reasons for the insane $49.99 MSRP? I have no idea why TVonDVD is defending this idiotic release when the fanbase itself is shaking its head in confusion.

Wow, hope no one sees that cover before finishing season 1. Nice spoiler there, Universal.

The Sci Fi Channel has renewed Battlestar Galactica for a third season. The new version of the 1978 TV science fiction classic is currently in the midst of its second season on the Sci Fi Channel.

I don't see anything on that cover that wasn't revealed by the end of the original mini-series?

Maybe, been a long while since I've seen the mini-series, but I thought
Spoiler:
Boomer wasn't confirmed to be a Cylon until late in the first season?

Where does it say we support the release of the show this way? We're reporting on the set, nothing more.

Hey, Gord, have you seen anything to corroborate the Bits' extended episode claim?

Awesome news on SciFi picking BSG up for a 3rd season! I guess this is no surprise with its popularity and growing fanbase.

The way it was...
Spoiler:
we found out that Sharon was a cylon at the end of the mini-series but the people on the show don't find out till she shoots Adama
Of course I know you already knew that but just for clarification sake.

man that's why I don't look at covers for seasons of shows I haven't seen. I caught my old roommate looking at the Sopranos covers while he was still watching season one cause he firgured out that was a good source for "who makes it", but I guess he ruined it for himself.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Isn't SG-1 in it's 9th season? Any word on a 10th? I really hope Sci-Fi doesn't drag this out. 3, 4, maybe 5 seasons sounds perfect to me. Tigh it up nicely

not correct..the first ten were filmed up until like july/august of this year..then the second ten were starting to film august or beginning sept...moore said it in his podcasts..(that was the reason he missed one, he went on vacation with his family because of the break between the first 10 and the second 10 episodes..)

Seems to me that Best Buy might have a bare-bones season 2 full set DVD out early (like they did for Season 1) that woul just be the episodes. I would expect to see a fuller complete Season 2 DVD set as well

I don't think that will be the case, because the reason BB was able to do that before is the fact that the U.K. aired the show way before the U.S. run and therefore had the DVDs out way before we did. Now that we are running them before the U.K. we just have to be patient.

Pinata: I agree five seasons would be perfect......I could see myself easily begging for more but I would be more than happy to see the show end on it's own terms.

What does that mean? Does that mean that SciFi will definately show the remaining ten episodes, or does that mean that new episodes are being filmed (or will be filmed)?

Season 2 has been filmed and the final 10 episodes will start airing in January. Further, it has been renewed for a 3rd season that will begin filming at a later date for a summer/fall 2006 premiere, I'm sure.

You can catch the reruns of the first half of Season 2 (the first ten episodes). The first episode (episode 201) was last Friday, the second episode will be this Friday (October 7). If you start watching with that one you won't be too far behind.
