Is Target carrying BSG 2.0 and if so how much are they charging?

But seeing as it is a barcode coupon, I doubt most retailers would be configured to have it check for both before it takes $10 off.
It's really quite simple to configure the registers to check for both with a barcode. I work in a grocery store and we have coupons like that all the time.

The coupon is very unclear. I've read it and can't tell if you have to buy both at the same time. I hope not as I'd like to buy BSG but already have the coupon from Serenity.

Or not. They were out of BSG 2.0 and only had foolscreen Serenity. Blech. Off to Wally World.

Ditto. I bought the BSG set after catching the mini series when it ran on network TV. Loved it. Thought it was the greatest thing to happen to sci-fi TV ever...until I started hearing all the recommendations for Firefly. Picked up THAT set as well and yes, I enjoyed just it as much, if not moreso, than BSG. Guaranteed that if you're a fan of one, you'll definitely enjoy the other.

OK, just a quick rant against Best Buy. I dropped in on the way to work (close to running late) to pick up this title with Serenity to get the discount. It all rings up fine, but the cashier has to pull out a yellow form and fill it out to give me a discount. Going very, very slowly. (Think someone writing a check in the express lane of a grocery store). Then she made me fill out my name and address on the form and sign it. (Me: "I have to do this TO USE A COUPON!?!") Then she asked me for my ID.

But, when the Galactica set rings up at $22, I guess it's worth it.

Get this: At Best Buy, I had a copy of both Serenity and Battlestar Galactica 2.0. When I got to the register, I peeled one of the coupons off and handed it to the cashier. She scanned it and took $10 off of the purchase. She then proceeded to tear the other coupon off, scan it, and take $10 more off of the purchase! I got BSG 2.0 for $22.99 AND Serenity for $7.99.

That's pretty funny considering that the computer prompts the clerk to scan both items once the coupon is scanned. You just lucked out and got a stupid clerk, I guess.

Either there's separate systems for all the Best Buys or there was a time before the system was set up properly because my cashier had to manually override the price of each by $5 because all the coupon did was show up as a line item and didn't do anything else.

It was easier to say that she scanned it than to say "manual override". Technically, she scanned the coupon and nothing happened. She asked the cashier beside of her and he said to manually enter the coupon. She took the one that I handed her, manually entered the $10 coupon. Then, without saying a word, she tore the one off of Serenity and manually entered it as an additional $10 coupon. The grand total with tax included was $33.15.

Consider it an extra Christams gift - you totally lucked out and got a deal there, as she really should have only given you $10 off, instead of $20. That's seasonal help for you. I doubt you'd be as lucky a second time, or that others would get the same experience.

Oh yeah, also wanted to say that the Wal-mart I was in today, did not have BG 2.0, but they did have Serenity - however no coupons on the package. I believe sale price for Serenity was $17.99, or you could it in a 2 pack (with The Hulk, which I thought was an odd pairing) for $19.99.

Yeah, some BB employees don't seem too....attentive? Last week one of them almost gave me a cd for free(he totally forgot to scan it, but still put it in the bag for some reason). I told him to add it on there though.

The way I see it, that lowered Battlestar to the price that it should have been, originally... $22.99 seems about right for a 3-DVD set of 10 episodes.

My Best Buy was sold out of BSG-2.0 by 4 in the afternoon - figures - the one time I wait to go after work is the when they sell out of the one thing I wanted - I was so pissed. I ended up getting it at CostCo.

I wasn't too attentive myself, and walked out w/out getting the $10 off. The coupon scanned, but shows as 0.00 on the receipt. I am absolutely not going back in there in the next month, it's too crowded. Can I get it fixed via the website maybe, using the customer service PIN?

Has anyone experienced a glitchy little pause where the picture stops and the sound cuts out for a second 10:48 into Home Part 2? (during Baltar's line "Uh (glitch) what did I win?")

Maybe you didn't notice it. I exchanged this disc and played the new one on an entirely different player when I was out of town this weekend, and the exact same thing happened. Could be a layer change--but on multi-ep TV DVDs, aren't layer changes usually between episodes?

If there are an even number of episodes on a disc then 99% of the time they'll be between episodes. If there are an odd number of episodes on a DVD then I'd say it's closer to 85%. You'll hardly ever come across a layer change on a TV set.

Stargate has a layer change in the middle of episodes every so often. Probably more often on their 5 ep discs.
