It is a really nice set. Everything is in english. Before the main menus come up, you can choose German or English for all the menu displays and things. I got it for $69.95 from xploitedcinema.com. Great seller.

I also just picked up the Netgear MP101 (little silver box under TV) - connects wirelessly to my PC and acts as a music server, and connects to internet radio stations. Definitely a cool (and cheap) little item...

Thanks for the interest

Can someone on the first page change their image host so the stupid pop-up doesn't keep requesting a password?

How do you like your TV? Is that the 50 or the 60?

I'm not looking at that unless it's done in an imitation Richard Attenborough voice.

Here's my collection. The first two shelves consist of autographed items, and DVDs with cool packaging. The rest is in alphabetic order, but with some exceptions (Spaceballs is next to Star Wars, etc...). The Gilmore Girls set in there was purchased by my brother on eBay for his girlfriend. He didn't notice it until he had won the auction, but the seller was in Hong Kong! It's a bootleg. He got his money back and gave me the DVD.

Friday The 13th Parts I and II: Tom Savini, Steve Dash, Warrington Gillette

Friday The 13th Parts III and IV: Tom Savini, Corey Feldman

The Exorcist: Linda Blair

Evil Dead: Bruce Campbell

Bubba Ho-Tep: Bruce Campbell

Chasing Amy: Kevin Smith

Dawn of the Dead: Tom Savini

The TV is a KDF-55XS955. Great TV - currently trying to have it calibrated and having a difficult time. Without the calibration is still looks good though.

So, don't knock the racks, because we're a few months away from a big move, and are planning on building our own shelf system once we move in, so anyway..

The big picture.

Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to buy from the Ikea website (do they even ship?) to get this look:

I have ~$700 dvd's and if I can do this for under $200, it's better than any other solution I have found.

It is two billy bookcases with the top extensions and four extra shelves. Total should be around $250 give or take. Billy's are $80 a piece. Top extension I believe were $25 each and extra shelves are $10-15 a set.

Each shelf holds about 50 dvds.

Just wondering Lethalkrs, is that Gremlins figure you have the 12 inch one as seen here?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gremlins-12in-Br...QQcmdZViewItem

It looks really cool, and would love to get the same one that you have. Thanks

Try Staple, they have some similar shelf that sometimes go at a price of $25 having 5 layers with it.

Here is my home theater and DVD collection

The first picture is my painted front wall with 3 front speakers (Klipsch RC-25). The speakers are on the floor to maximize screen space as my projector does not have any lens shift, and top of the screen remains fixed from my ceiling mounted projector.

The second picture is my ceiling mounted projector, Dukane 9000D D-ILA. This is connected to my custom HTPC at pixel perfect 1360 x 1024 and DISH 942 HD DVR at 1080i.

The third picture is my HT Coaster seats ~16ft back from the screen.

RW-12 Sub and 2 Leslie Dame DVD shelfs (modified to hold over 800 DVDs each) These are now completely filled. The shelf on the left holds all my western DVDs (Action/Horror, TV Sets, Drama/Comedy, Kids/Misc from Left to right).

The right sided shelf holds all my Asian DVDs (HK Action/Comedy/Horror, Japanese, HK Drama, and Korean from Left to right)

Equipment rack holds (from left to right) Cyberhome all region DVD player, Pioneed LD Karaoke player, Custom made HTPC, Dish 942 receiver, Sony VCR, and Yamaha RX-V2500 130W/ch 7.1 receiver

Here is a 2.35:1 HD screenshot from HBO. The image size at 2.35:1 is stretched fully out to 12 ft wide (156 inch diagonal).

Here is a 16:9 HD program from VOOM channel (Sorry I don't have any pics of better material)
