Re: The One & Only DOCTOR WHO DVD Thread (8th Incarnation)
Holy shitsnacks y’all, this OOP title is the last one of the Classic Who DVDs I didn’t have and couldn’t bring myself to pay the obscene secondary market price but I walked into Half Price Books today and this was on the shelf. Somebody apparently let go of a good part of their collection and I even spent a few minutes putting them all in order on the shelf so I could see anything else I might need. It’s the one In Schaumburg by the way.

From the "It Was Bound to Happen Sooner or Later"File: Ian Levine is in the process of getting an AI reconstruction of "The Daleks' Masterplan" made.
The first episode is posted on youtube:
Mostly looks like an "AI" using the telesnaps, some existing footage, and some recreations. It's not bad, but it's kind of discombobulating -- the eyelines don't line up, the lighting varies, and there are a lot of images that get used over and over again like the Katarina in an awkward pose and the images of not The Brigadier. At times the mouths have a sort of Clutch Cargo quality, but it's definitely watchable.
ETA: Looks like you'll have clicky to watch it on Youtube and not on this page.

Just a heads up Amazon has the upcoming Celestial Toymaker blu-ray up for preorder at $15.99. Underwater Menace has dropped in price and is now down to $17.99, and Abominable Snowmen is $15.33
