I remember everyone was collecting every #1 that came out. Then there was a phase when they were like "wait, everyone is buying #1s, they won't be worth anything!" and started all buying #2s in stead.

All of my dad's work friends would ask me "what's the hot comic that's going to be worth a lot?"

People are stupid.

I still see these sets at Walmart. Debating whether or not I should buy a copy.

They'll certainly be re-released after the misprint is fixed.

According to a Best Buy employee, this was definitely pulled.

I was in WalMart last night, and found it odd that I saw this set back on the shelf (it had previously been pulled like most other places). Anyway, after checking it out, the ones that they had out did not have the "How's My Time-Traveling? Call: 1-800-555-6969" on the top of the box. So, it looks like they have already re-released this set.

I bought two of the old versions, one for me and one for "just in case", heh. Looks like it wont be worth anything though, so back to WalMart my extra copy will more than likely go, if they even accept it.

That from the most accurate, highest authority of DVD knowledge.

Actually, I'm sure that's right, but saying it's true because a BB employee says so is sorta like saying it'll rain tomorrow because your dog told you so.

That's a slap in the face to dogs around the world. Not only do dogs know plenty about the weather but I'd be willing to bet they know more about dvds than a Best Buy employee.

this is offtopic, but it's annoying how they left out the inserts even though it's the exact same discs and covers for the movies. luckily i saved mine from the old ones, but why leave them out in the first place?

I can see this becoming comparable to the Sleepaway recall (with the Red Cross logos). I may see if I can track a set down in a B&M, just for the novelty.

This shows what money can do. They have re-released product within a few weeks of the error being reported. It has taken Universal YEARS in some cases to replace working product (or badly working) with correct product on shelves. Look at Back to the Future or that Monty Python disc with all the problems.

Here, a mistake is made in boxart and they fix it asap. I guess remaking discs is a lot more time consuming, but this shows retail can be fast if they want to.
