I second Vanishing son, there were 3 or 4 made for tv movies and a tv series which lasted 2 seasons. They need to release that stuff asap :)
|
Sadly it is looking like future seasons of Hill Street Blues aren't going to be released. That depresses me a great deal!
|
I'm bothered that the first two seasons, especially season one, of EARTH FINAL CONFLICT have not been released in R1. It is my absolute most wanted release. Nothing tops it.
|
I'd still love Misfits of Science on DVD ... please

Legends of the Hidden Temple Pretty much any old skool Nick shows :( |
I'm worried about more Simon & Simon, there has been zero news on season 2.
Square Pegs. |
Where's the remaining seasons of "The Partridge Family"? Come on, Sony!

Which TV series will NEVER make it to DVD? The world is destroyed when kids accidently set off a nuclear missile causing the Russians to counterattack. Only six people are left in the US; Mark, the narrator, an ex-school teacher; Alice, a feminist; Curtis, a yuppie stock broker; Jack, a homeless person; Frederick, a black pathologist; and Suzzane, a sexy dummy. After an innocent misunderstanding leads to nuclear Armageddon, the only six people left alive on Earth make their way to a farm in the middle of nowhere. There, in a series of hi-jinx adventures, the misfits must put aside their differences for the sake of the species. |

Now that I think about it, how about Quark. I was 16 when this first aired and watched it almost every week it was on. The only problem is that it last only 8 weeks. Check out the website below: http://www.quark.name/ "''It'' hit the television world on February 24, 1978 like a galaxy-class starship slamming into a Quasi-norm. Quark, NBC's fantastic science-fiction spoof from the mind of Buck Henry, was released about the same time as Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Battlestar Galactica were making their impact on the science fiction community. The short-lived series featured Richard Benjamin as Adam Quark along with his crazy crew aboard a spacefaring garbage scow. " |
Ghostwriter that ran on PBS from '92-'95

I think I might have said it before, but Logan's Run will probably never make it to DVD.

I've been watching my very poor bootlegs of 1983's Whiz Kids. I'll probably never see better quality =(

Two shows come to mind and people from the UK might possibly know them. The first is the Bob Mills presented "In Bed With Medinner" which is a brilliant clip show and really funny. I think the reason why they can't release it is due to copyright problems with all the old clips.
The second show is "The Incredibly Strange Film Show" that ran in the late 80s early 90s and was presented by Johnathan Ross. It was an amazing show where each episode looked at the work of a different movie maker/director/actor. The amount of interviews for the show and everything about it was fantastic. There were episodes on John Waters, Jackie Chan, Ed Wood (First time i heard of him was watching this show), Sam Raimi (Which you actually get the episode on one of the Evil Dead DVDs), Russ Meyer, Lovecraft Movies, Fred Olen Ray, El Santo. The show was brilliant, but again i heard it was caught up in a lot of copyright wrangles. Damn shame. |
I'm worried about more Simon & Simon, there has been zero news on season 2. Square Pegs. im also worried that we will never see season 5 of nypd: blue. but that happened with season 2 were we didn't see season 3 out on dvd for a long time then suddenly fox gave us 2 season within 3 months, hopefully thats the case and they are still planning on releasing more seasons. Cold Case will never see the light of day on DVD. The music alone would make the season sets unaffordable. theres a shitload of shows that need to be release or release more seasons of, come on studios! |
I wish James Garner's Turn-of-Century Western "Nichols" would be come out on DVD.
I doubt it will ever happen. A "Nichols" episode or two would have been a nice Bonus Feature on the Rockford Files DVDs. |
Madigan Men - what I saw I really enjoyed and thought it was funny.
Hardball - remember seeing this and I thought it was also funny. Davis Rules - want to see it because of who is in it |
