Does this disc have any commentaries like the season sets?

4 Episodes for $15 is too expensive for my blood.

the dvdtalk review says the Hamill episode is the only link to Star Wars, they just threw 3 more episodes on there for no apparent reason. What a rip...

i wish they would have put the wine country episode where they do some heavy prequel bashing and you see a lucas look a like riding a taun taun

It's a rip off without that episode, which perfectly merges Star Wars and the Simpsons (for the first half of the episode anyways.)

There was no actual cartoon which showed a cloud city Bart fighting a Darth Homer, and yet they're putting it on the packaging! Casual shoppers may impulse buy it based on the cover. Without closer examination, it looks like something every Simpsons and Star Wars fan should have in their collection.

Simpsons BART WARS DVD - minor edits

Just wanted to point out that in this so-called STARS WARS edition of THE SIMPSONS, there is a line in the otherwise great Christmas episode "Marge Be Not Proud" where Bart says to a photographer, "Hey, Assel Adams..." which is deleted from the disc. I have no idea why. The detective character uses the word "ass" earlier in the same episode.

Incidentally, unless you really, really want these episodes, I would not recommend purchasing this half-assed disc.

This disc really isnt SW related in anyway besides the cover is it? It just seems like the worst release ever.

It's funny. In the original broadcast, Bart says "Assel" and the captions also indicate this. When I first heard it, I thought he was said "a__hole" and that is why I replayed it with captions.

Then, on syndicated repeats, he does say "Ansel" and this is confirmed by captions.

Now we have the DVD where the line is omitted altogether.

If you have it on your disc, then I wonder what the heck happened to mine.

As for the previous thread, I should have posted my comment there originally. But I agree...this DVD is a misleading rip-off!

I bought this disc at Costco. Now I feel this overwhelming urge to skip work and check out my copy again!

By the way, does Bart say "Assel" or "Ansel"?

Just checked my disc, and sure enough it was there, with Bart saying "Ansel."

Sorry about the confusion. I still feel "Assel" is funnier.
