Newsradio Street Date May 24th
I was looking on DVD Aficionado, and then on the item listing at Amazon, and it looks like a release date may have been picked (5/24/05), anyone have info on this?

Looks like it hasn't been announced yet, so the date may change. (again)

I still keeping this release in the I'll believe it when I see the box on a shelf in the store category. I have been waiting for this for sometime so I refuse to get my hopes up and have them push back the release again.

Sony officially announces release date May 24th
The exact list of extras hasn't been announced yet, but so far they're hinting about a Featurette, a Blooper Reel, Commentaries, Filmographies, Weblinks and Bonus Previews.
It's still 3 DVDs, running 660 mintues for every episode from the first two seasons, in their original network broadcast length.

A lot of you have probably seen this already, but the NR set will have a whopping 20 commentaries! Damn...I think it's definitely worth the long, long wait, considering that these extras will probably be the last new NR content we'll ever get.

I was wondering the same thing.
I checked 5 or so sites, (buy,Amazon, Dvd Empire....) and they all have it for release may 24th, 2005. I am hoping so. I've been waiting a long time for this. Too bad there is no promoting on this. I want this to sell well so they can come out with the rest of the seasons.

It is about freaking time! I've waited for this day for years now. I have every episode on VHS, but now I can finally retire the first two seasons because...
...I have it in my hands (the NewsRadio DVDs that is
).
I haven't gotten a chance to watch them yet, but I am also worried about the quality with the content on the DVDs.
One of the first things I noticed was on the back:
"The Complete First and Secon Seasons!"
I hate spelling/typing mistakes on DVDs!
Regardless, it is great to have this on DVDs.

So, what are the reactions. Does everyone love their sets? Are there any edits or is everything uncut and as originally aired? I love this show, and can not wait to pick it up. I'm going to go get it today.

My wife and I watched the first 4 episodes of the set last night and had no playbach problems. The transfer of first episode looked to be a bit off but nothing too bad.
