I smell a Elektra:1.5 or Elektrairector's Cut in November. I smell it like it will come out the same day Fantastic Four comes to DVD. This is a strong smell. And for once I hope it's real,as I want a SE of this. Again,I LOVED it.

I just went region-free. I bought the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 at Wal-Mart yesterday for $38.00 and change. Very easy remote hack to make the player region free!!

Take care!!

From the negative feedback that Ive been hearing from this movie, I doubt that I will pick this title up. Even, Jennifer Garner in a sexy outfit couldnt make me want to buy this stinker.

Just be aware that I don't believe this player does proper 16x9 PAL conversion, so you're gonna get some minor distortion when playing R2/R4 PAL discs. It's the only reason that held me back from picking this up as a backup region-free player. Sure can't beat the price otherwise, though!

Thanks for the info! I only have Army Of Darkness Region 3 at the moment and it played and looked great!! I will keep your info in mind when I get around to getting any R2 or R4 dvd's

Apoligies to the mods for getting this thread off topic!!

Take care all!!

Do you consider that a trusted news source?

I'm not saying Garner didn't say this, but there's been no quote.

It won't come with moviecash.

Why not? X-Men 1.5 came with a moviecash ticket that could be used for Daredevil or X-Men 2 - LONG before X-Men 2 came out.

Why not? Because I wasn't aware the cash was good for X2 in the past, that's why.

When the first trailer was released I couldn't believe how bad the movie looked.

This is one DVD that I have no desire to ever own or see.

The Phillips 642 runs $70 at Walmart and Target. The one time hack takes less than 30 seconds. There are several threads in the international forum if you want more info.

I saw the movie and liked it. It's not great, but I found it entertaining and this is NOWHERE near the piece of crap the critics are making it out to be. I look forward to the dvd, I hope one of the deleted scenes is the Affleck/Daredevil cameo cause I wanna see it.

FUN GAME FOR ELEKTRA FANS.
Replay Jennifer Garner's SAG Award acceptance speech and replace 'Alias' with 'Elektra'. Absolutely surreal.

Its too bad people got turned off by the early reviews. Its actually a really good movie, if the few flaws could have been fixed, it would have been great. I also like the Hulk, it seams when a comic movie tries to do something different or take the time to devolp the character, people freak out

I kinda agree. I guess it's kind of a curse for the first movie of the would-be franchise in which they don't really have the time to get into some of the well established comic book story lines.

Has anyone heard if other regions are getting a 2disc release, as are most of Fox's big titles nowadays. I checked cd-wow and they say that the R2 is just one disc, and don't have anything listed for R3. If they're gonna definately release a 2disc version here, or elsewhere, I'll go ahead and just pick up that. Just wanted to avoid a double dip if possible.

Any info? Thanks.

Do you pride yourself on only keeping hits in your collection?

I would not put this movie in my collection if it was given to me. Unless she got nude in the flick.

I'm just noticing this, but a sneak peak at Family Guy and American Dad? Seems a bit weird.

I posted this in the movie forum's post regarding Elektra, but here it is again if you missed it:

DVD review:
http://www.dvdfile.com/software/revi...1/elektra.html

Deleted Affleck scene from Elektra
http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/dvd.php?id=1564

RopeOfSilicon.com has info about the forthcoming Elektra DVD, they also have the deleted Ben Affleck/Matt Murdock cameo. The scene was cut by the studio who feared another possible Gigli ‘Ben & Jen’ fiasco after it was learned the Daredevil & Elektra actors had begun dating.

You can view the deleted scene titled “Come Back” at the link above in the DVD Multimedia section of the site.
