Elektra - (4/5/05)!

From DVDAnswers:

Fox Home Entertainment has officially announced Elektra which stars Jennifer Garner and Goran Visnjic. The disc will be available to own from the 5th April, and should set you back around $29.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen along with both English DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks. Extras will include three deleted scenes (running to around five minutes in total), a thirteen minute making of Elektra featurette, a Comic-Con Presentation, an Inside the Editing Room feature which looks at the editing for several different scenes and both the theatrical teaser and trailer. Completing this new package will be a soundtrack promo and an Inside Look at the Fantastic Four and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Fox has yet to release the official package artwork I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that very shortly. Stay tuned.
Even though it pretty much bombed, I'll probably pick it up for completeness sake to go along with the Daredevil discs.

Wow, 2 1/2 months for the DVD? That's almost as fast as Surviving Christmas and they rushed that to get it out for the holidays.

Woo hoo! First theatrical release of 2005 to be announced for DVD!

Way to go FOX! ;)

REL77 02-01-05 01:58 PM

I would like to hear a commentary from J Garner since she has spoken out saying this wasnt her best work, and wasnt a well done movie

asianxcore 02-01-05 02:10 PM

Thanks for the info!

Still on the fence about picking this up. A Jennifer Garner commentary would definitely be a plus.

She did not!

You read that IMDB rumor posting about Michael Vartan saying she didn't like the film. Hardly "speaking out."

darmok 02-01-05 02:45 PM

still, that's pretty bad when you "hear" that the star is saying such things about her own movie.

LorenzoL 02-01-05 02:50 PM

Definite rental for me.

Do you pride yourself on only keeping hits in your collection?

From IMDB? Come on. They should call that section of the site, "Things we made up today."

Master Shake 05 02-01-05 03:08 PM

"Elektra - (4/5/05)!"

And at 4/6 i still won't care...

darmok 02-01-05 03:29 PM

Awesome! I really dug this flick. Sounds like a good disc. Gotta love Fox, DTS on just about every title. Suck it Columbia!

Bummer on the lack of commentary from Bowman.

critterdvd 02-01-05 05:34 PM

I'll pick this up to put with my "Alias" DVDs... but my one question is this: If Jennifer Garner did do a commentary what would be consist of becuase her "Im sorry about this movie" repeated for 90 minutes?

Get Me Coffee 02-01-05 05:35 PM

Skipped it in the theater....Rather pick it up for $14 dollars than pay $19 at the theater.

Then I guess you would have to pick up the original "Hulk" movies with Bill Bixby considering Daredevil was in one of those. It is probably just as good as this bomb. I mean for completist sake. Even though this one has nothing to do with "Daredevil" theatrical and DC, except the one character.

It really has nothing to do with Daredevil at all. There were some interesting bits but the movie was pretty poor. I advise a rental.

DonnachaOne 02-01-05 06:41 PM

How much do you wanna bet that it'll come with a Fantastic 4 moviecash ticket/card?

Well, by completeness sake, I mean any and all comic book movies made within the past say 16 years since the '89 Batman film. Not a big fan of the Superman movies, or the '91 Captain America movie (but who is?)
