Wow - some poeple get nasty about this topic, ey?
Firstly, I'm sure neither I, nor anyone else here, implied that it was our "duty" to inform anyone (well, at least I didn't). I actually thought that, in some cases, it might be considered a courtesy to let someone know the difference about a product that they may not be aware of. If I ever DID "butt in" or have the nerve to tell someone the difference, I would do it in a light-hearted way, not a condescending way.
Actually no. I just make the coughing, hacking noise while I walk past them waving the smoke away.
I brought up the old, greasy-haired guy because I was at a different Wal-mart than the one near my house when this happened, and there's another guy that look almost the same at the Wal-mart by my house...so I figures this was a standard figure at all Wal-marts. Sorry if you were offended by the comment. It must have just been my ignorance popping in and stereotyping of old people not understanding, or wanting to understand, new technology.
