From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
bboisvert, bless you, my only helping homie! Since no one was responding to my trailer question fast enough, I erred on the side of caution and went with the Universal replacement mailer option; good choice on my part--I'll have to wait even longer for my set to be rectified, but when it is, I'll have the collector booklet AND the corrected disc for Parts II and III.

I spent all day Sat. watching the Trilogy. What a great set of flicks! Hadn't seen them in a long time, so happy I bought them. The corrected transfers look really nice and the supplements are plentiful. One thing I wanted to ask was about the booklet, the new re-issued versions don't contain the booklet, was there anything significant contained in it? Just wanted to know.

Small synposis for all 3 films
Listing of all bonus features for each disc
Chapter list for all 3 films
4 pages of Production Notes

I may try to OCR the production notes.

Still no luck finding the new version, checked at FYE, Circuit City and a different Wal-mart and only found old versions at the first two and none at Wally world.

Guess I'll just keep and eye out when picking up other DVDs in the next month or two.

BEWARE! Costco is selling BTTF Trilogy for $18.99... but they are FULL FRAME!

I bought it yesterday. I checked the package carefully. Both front and back of the slipcase are completely visible. The bottom of the slipcase back denotes the various audio formats available. But it is only after opening the outer shrinkwrap, removing it from the black cardboard display, and removing the inner shrinkwrap that you can finally slide off the slipcase and see the full specs.

ARGH! I'm returning it today.

Was there any indication on a visible part of the box that indicated "widescreen"?

Does the new re-release have the same packaging as the original release?

Yes same packaging you have to look for the sticker mentioned on the first page of this thread that says "lowest price ever" rather than the "first time on dvd" sticker on the original release.

Nope. I just used my magic to pick a widescreen and once I was outside the store I opened it to confirm my magic worked. It did of course, but on the impossible chance it didn't, I could just walk back in and exchange it.

Of course my magic never fails to that would never happen.

I returned mine and the woman behind the counter said that she remembered another guy returning his last week. She said "it seems like there is a different product number for the widescreen... so here's your refund and see if you can find a copy with a different product number". Unfortunately, they were all the same.
