Hmmm... tempting. I think I'll wait for reviews of the bonus disc (content, running time, etc.)

Shoot, I'm getting this one from Gamestop. All well.. I still have the BB promo disc for this one and from what I've read the movie-disc has close to an hr's worth of good extras on it. Still, be curious to know what's on this one.

The price is a good question along with the lowest advertised price of any competitor ... thus just pricing matching it at Wal-mart.

I hope the bonus featurette is not recycled from last year's SC&TWOT preview disc from BestBuy.

But, but, it's a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN featurette . . .

Anyone know Wal-Mart's price on this? I'll probably swing by and get it next weekend, assuming the price is right and the bonus DVD isn't just a 10-minute fluff piece.

is this movie any good...for a blind buy? it looks like a lot of eye candy too me and sometimes i cant stand the overkill of cg work but sometimes it works, but hows the story, acting, pic and sound? thanks!

Do you like old 1930s-40s movie serials? If so, this is probably a good blind buy. It's definitely in the same mold -- cheesy (intentionally) breezy fun adventure.

I was thinking of buying it but it might turn out like the Day After Tomorrow.

That was the worst blind buy ever.

I saw it in the theater. It was pretty fun but not enough for me to warrant a purchase. I would rent before blind buying.

We'll put it this way - did you like The Rocketeer or Mask of Zorro? Sky Captain was probably the best pulp genre movie to come out in quite some time - so if you liked those two, you'll probably enjoy this.

Wow, I bought "Day After Tomorow" as a blind-buy. I was expecting an earth-bound version of "Armageddon"... and I wasn't disappointed. Big sound, big visuals, and over-the-top story worthy of a TV-movie-of-the-week (for those old enough to remember those. )

I plan on buying Sky Captain for the same reason.

Luckily a "borrow" from a friend, saved me from buying that turd of a movie.

The only blind buy that I regret is Hart's War. I bought it expecting a decent WWII flick and all I got was Hogan's Hero wannabe.

Anyone find this at Walmart yet? I'm curious how long this bonus featurette is.

Me too. I want the t-shirt more than the bonus disc, but having both would be swell!
