Looking at those mock-ups, I think we can only hope that each film's cover will simply be a rendition of the Bat-symbol. The gold symbol on the first one would be great, but the second one I hope doesn't have "The Bat, The Cat, and The Penguin". I hated that look. THe third one looks nice, and the fourth one is dead to me.
Regardless, though, these purchases are no-brainers for me. Two discs with solid transfers would be great. I'll take some promo stuff on the first one b/c if I remember correctly that thing was a hype-machine and it would be interesting to see some of that stuff again.
Hurry up, WB. Get these things out!

Took the leap of faith and traded in Batman/Returns...These better come out as planned! Last ones I traded in anticipating SE's were Crimson Tide and Enemy of the State.

Hmm.. I'm going to go out on a limb and say they will simply present the old artwork slightly altered a bit (like Goodfellas SE) or create new artwork (Shawshank SE).

I really like the simple batman shields as the cover (I hope they do the same for Superman DVD re-release). But what I dont understand is why dont they use the Batman shield with snow on it for Batman Returns instead of the one with the top of his head, just my 2 cents

I also hope it is sooner than October but this is starting to appear less and less likely. If WB wanted to get these SE released in mid-June to coincide with the theatrical release of Batman Begins I think we probably would have had an official announcement/confirmation by now. Maybe the rumoured new cut of Batman Forever is taking longer to put together than expected.

It seems that all four Batman films, as well as the Batman Legacy collection, have gone out of print, most likely in preparation for the upcoming special editions. Just another sign that these are coming soon.

...but, after another check, it seems that Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is still in print. Although there haven't been strong indicators of a special edition for this, I still hope that there may be one to coincide with the four live action Batman movies.

My Blockbuster carries all of the Batman films for sale. I have never had a problem finding these anywhere. My 2 local FYEs also carry them for sale, brand new

I'm not saying they're hard to find or even will be after they go OOP (especially with the upcoming SEs). However, look at this thread:

It's just another indication that the SEs are really coming soon now. Studios often put their old releases OOP when a new edition comes along.
And I'm not saying that stores will even be pulling these off the shelves; WB just won't be making any more.
