Thanks for the good words.
Yes I do plan on upgrading the PJ soon, but I just bought a new MINI in August, which has eaten up some of the HT funds. Probably after I move this summer i'll be upgrading the PJ, AMP and Pre-AMP.

Dave man, I love your stuff.

I was thinking the same thing... The collectables are great, especially the Reserved for Elvis card at the bar & the Sinatra stuff. Very cool!

Hopefully they don't completely bow outward someday. I may just Liquid Nail one in.

I'd say they fit 180 comfortably (30 across). One shelf gets wasted (too short) so I just used it for other stuff, as you can see in my pic.
They were marked 39.99 at my Staples... did you get yours on sale, or clearance, unadvertised price?

Dave - I bow to your fabulous system. Really amazing!

We have our DVDs scattered in a number of places at the moment. I used to use two bookshelves, but we just have too many DVDs to store on most current shelving. I need to work on another solution.

Here's a picture of most of my DVDs in our Media room. My Hitchcock movies, TV shows, Documentaries, Standup comedy, and Music DVDs are in my bedroom.

And on our opposite wall in our media room, we have a full size Vertigo poster and a full size American Graffiti poster.

Vertigo is my housemate's favorite movie (and pretty high on my list too) and American Graffiti is my favorite movie.

Gold edition? isn't that the full screen? you bought the full screen edition?

my "HT" is not complete yet, as I am about to get a big ol' mitsubishi from my father-in-law. They're moving to a smaller house, and don't have room for the tv. so he is GIVING it to me. I'll post pictures of my collection and TV/System (i have one of the Sony DVD Dream Systems... Not amazing, but sutis my needs) when I have everything set up.

Another view of my discs:

Sconses;or what my lovely wife refers to as "movie lights":

My home-made Now Playing sign,I'm not cheap,I'm frugal:

It's a home theater on a budget. We both love it,however.I got the TV on black Friday, the rest was in place for a while before that, with a 27 in. Sharp,10 year old TV.
On the ceiling are roughly 2,00 flourescent stars, and I have several black lights to light them up if the mood hits me.
We have 6 of the so-called "movie lights around the room, which provide a nice ambient light. The entire room is black, high gloss because that's what I had on hand at the time.Glare doesn't seem to be a problem.
The carpet is purple in most of the room, black in my computer area.Needless to say,I have to dust and vaccuum alot.

Including the TV and computer,we have roughly $2,000 invested in this room, and use it every day.

It's the perfect enviroment to wrap up a hard day in....
