I calmly informed her that she was mistaken and asked if the could be anywhere else in the DVD section. She said that was the only version they were carrying.

Has anyone else run into this at Target trying to find the WS set?
Same thing happend to me. Full screen only.

Damn you got Spiderman 3 before it's even been made? How is it? Are there any new villians or just Green Goblin II?

Well, I wrote Target an email. I decided I am going to tirelessly bitch at them until there are Widescreen copies of everything at my location.

Ah, who am I kidding - this will probably be my one and only letter.

I also ran into only FS versions at Target (and they had about 30 or so) I went up to Wal-Mart and got it for $17+ I can PM with ease at Wal-Mart since I know some people there, but I didn't even bother with this one. $17 for both dvds is still a steal.

Avoid the 15min. hassle and go to Circuitt City.
Because I'm a RewardZone member and like Best Buy better. Plus the location is more convienent.

He must have a flux capacitor. It's what makes time travel possible.

So have any Target's had the widescreen? Wouldn't mind picking this up at that price since I don't have either of them.

I dropped by my local Target yesaterday. I went more to get a flyer for price matching than to actually buy the set (they don't have flyers in the store to pick up and use just one on the wall).

They had no more sets on the display, and I went in line to grab a soda and candy bar. In line in front of me was this toal soccer mom. She was so thrilled with herself for finding this "deal" and she was even more thrilled that it was fullscreen. If elt like screaming. THEN to add insult to injury, the damn thing wouldn't scan and she ends up paying to the penny, while not even getting her money ready until her order was totalled. I felt dirty being in line next to this fullscreen devotee for so very long.

Ugh.

Worst part is I still don't have a flyer to use for pricematching.

Perhaps I may have been incorrect about the individual UPCs. I did glance at the individual discs, so maybe I just thought I saw them or something. Why I would make that up I don't know. Sorry.
So it appears that these will not be available for individual sale. Weird, they are the only titles I have without UPC's. I can still add them to my db, but upc is my master key, so I'll have to figure out a way around that.

Inside my package the dvds were wrapped back to back, so you could only see the fronts. I couldn't tell if they had upc's or not until I opened it.
What were you smoking that day? Can i have some?

Kidding aside, it's all cool, thanks for the clarification.

Well, the DVDs weren't shrink wrapped. After I picked up the box and slipped the amarays out, I did take a quick look over the set. I do still think they'll be released individually, because the cover art for both discs is brand new. Universal is pretty frugal, so I don't think they would've gone through the trouble of manufacturing new SEs with new cover art just to hide them in a slipcovered box set.

And I caught a whiff of my roommate's Marlboro Menthol cigarette.
