He said the picture was near perfect. As for audio, he said both the DTS and DD tracks were great he gave a slight nod to the DTS.

He also said he wouldn't be surprised if they released a SuperBit Deluxe down the road.

And I agree that the text is pretty damn small.

I played most of the SuperBit version last night and was very impressed. Best picture and sound I have ever heard from my system. Last week the newest best of best was the lastest Harry Potter film. Just keeps getting better all the time.

The superbit and the non-superbit look pretty much the same to me:

I can see the difference in the buildings and Spiderman's custome in the bottom screen shot, I do not know if it enough of a difference to pick up both copies.

The extras were ok in the SE version, about 1 hour more entertainment.

The SuperBit shows more details in the shadows. The fight scene as posted clearly shows more detail in the SuperBit version.

The difference really doesn't seem that noticeable to me.

I'm no big proponent of Superbit, but check the building directly behind Spider-Man on the left (on top), or the creases in his costume (on bottom). Superbit definitely has more detail.

That said, I don't see it as a big enough difference to warrant *not* buying the version with the extra features, but there's a definite difference.

You can hit the "Printer Friendly" button at the top to get a more readable version. Or cut and paste the text into a word processing document.

I am going to buy the SE for my son (since he plays the crap out of it) and then get the Superbit for myself.

I have a 61in DLP tv and have now bought alot of superbits. I had the 2 disk and superbit of Spiderman. I definately noticed a difference.

Before I got my DLP, I just had a MITS CRT, I didn't care about superbit other than for DTS sound.

xtended

There will be an extended version of spider-man 2 with more footage edited into the film. Read it at a site (digitalbits i think).

I'm waiting for that.

Regards,

Sanjay

Just finished my Superbit. There is a difference especially in the DTS audio department. I was shocked how bigtime the subway scene was.

Like he said above...some people might not be able to SEE the difference with the regular and superbit, but I bet you'd be able to HEAR it...well...maybe I went with Superbit... hard to find around here too!

I wanted to get the Superbit but the Fry's I went to didn't have any. So I just bought the SE instead.

Maybe later on I'll get the Superbit.

To me the screencaps look pretty much the same but since I don't have an HDTV yet, the main reason that I would get the SB is cuz of the DTS soundtrack.

If the Best Buys in NYC would get it back in-stock by the end of the week, I'd definitely buy it with the Buy 2, Get 1 Free Deal.

Yeah. I saw it last night too. It's amazing that the SB manages to reveal more details than the SE!

I'm still debating to either:

1. Buy the superbit and wait for 2.5
2. Buy the SE now
3. Wait for 2.5 (which is out sometime next year?)

I broke down and went with #2.

Knowing my luck, 2.5 will be out before we know it (now that I've already bought the movie)

When I bought mime at futureshop, it came with a bonus 3rd disk. I thought that was pretty cool.

I read somewhere that Futureshop is owned by Best Buy. I heard that they even got Best Buy's copies and just put a sticker over Best Buy's price tags.

The first batch of Best Buy's copies had a free VH1 Special bonus DVD included so that's probably what you got.
