Wow, I didn't mean to start something here (I don't know when DVDTalk didn't become a hard source), but I can offer you all this:

The retail will be $36.96 and you can check any other online source (dvdanswers.com, davisdvd.com, etc) on the day it announces - 11/22.

(I love to tease....)

1 is the best. 2 is good, 3 just a bit better than 2. 4 is pretty crappy, but the scene with the monks in the bowling alley, and the monks dancing to "Dreams" by the Cranberries are great.

I never have purchased any of the 4 on DVD since they are so bare bones, but I do have all 4 on VHS.

I'll definitely buy this on release day.

I'll keep my OOP KK1-3 DVDs. Yes I know KK1 isn't OAR, but it's still decent. I don't even consider KKIV to be part of the series, it's so pitiful and doesn't have Daniel San.

I Love Karate Kid I-III

Its not part of the series. It's completly seperate(The Next Karate Kid). I agree that "No Daniel San.....No Sale". I will consider selling it, if the price is right to a few friends(You won't believe the people I know that actually think its the best.) It's worth seeing once, just for how stupid the premise surrounding it is, where as the first one, has as much replay value as Star Wars.

True, part III wasn't the greatest thing ever made, but it had Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita....Nuff said

I liked the films enough to probably pick this up. I liked the villain in the second a little more than the first because he was always vain, a constant gadfly and not redeemable in any sort of way: "You have choice: broken ice or broken neck!" "You insult my honor again...and I kill you."

The third film wasn't much since Daniel didn't show any signs of maturity after going through everything with Miyagi the first two go-arounds. Why would he still be pissing and moaning about the training regimen when they were such a key to his success? The falling out the two had at least made things a bit more dramatic.

I'm one hoping for a complete SE revamp of the series, not just 1, but I think the sequels (well all except the next kk) deserves SE treatment. Audio Commentarys, retrospectives......stuff like that. It would make me very happy

True that would make it better. I just would like to see some new interviews with Ralph Macchio(wonder what he looks like now) and Pat Mortia(you better hurry up, he's getting up there) talking about there experiences making the film.

It also might be cool to get a John G. Avildsen audio commentary

WOW!!!!! It doesn't even look like the great Daniel San. I think he's in his early 40's now(YIKES!!!). Last I hear he was married with a couple of kids, but never saw a picture of him, so thanks.

Still not enough proof! Where's the source!

Unbelievable when people question Michael.

It isn't like he is known for spreading bullshit! I say whatever to the people who question him! Keep up the great work Michael!

First he feels pain, then he feels more pain!

The Sports Guy, Bill Simmons, from ESPN wrote this freaking hilarious article about the coveted trilogy.

At that price I will own this set. I like the first three a little, not my favorite, but something I will enjoy enough to pay around $30. That retail is great for a 4 movie set, granted the fourth movie is flawed.

Same here. After all these years (and countless viewings) it still holds great sentimental value for me.

It looks like alot of people are interested in this set. It looks to be MEGA!!!!! Hell, I agree is that is indeed the price(the one that Mao is quoting) and ALL THREE MOVIES are in Anamorphic Widescreen with 5.1 then I'll bite. While I would have liked somne extras, It won't stop me from getting this set, if what I have said above is true.
