So the first Karate Kid movie is anamorphic widescreen and not fullscreen as with the previous release?

I'll throw my 2 cents in. I actually liked 3 better than 2. 4 doesn't even belong in this discussion or in this set, imo.

The main problem I have with both 2 and 3 is Daniel is such damn_wussy. It seems like he gets his butt kicked for the whole movie, but then gets one lucky shot in at the end. I guess that sorta happens in 1 too, but 1 had other redeeming qualities like a good script. Also Daniel does win his way through the tournament in 1. In 3 he doesn't even fight until the last match. Lame.

Whoever came up with The Karate Kid: Stupid Bike Edition, I really hope Columbia steals your idea.

Hopefully they offer these seperately. Imo part 2 was the best of the trilogy.

I don't know why everyone is so excited about the OP's statement? He still hasn't given us any link or solid proof of its re-released. Overall, it's all rumor.

Man, it would rock to be a DVDTalk Moderator. I could be like "Star Wars Original Theatrical DVDs coming in November 2005. Details to follow soon." and then just sit back and laugh.

Moderator or not.. we DO NOT want thread craps like these where you post anything about a possible release with no evidence otherwise we'll get tons of these threads. Especially after the "Best price for a ... DVD" fiasco. I'm no moderator myself but moderators should know better.

Mao has connections in the industry, and regularly posts release news before other sites (and has been doing it for years). If Mao says it, you can believe it.

Should know better than what? To give us information on upcoming DVD releases that hasn't been made common knowledge to the general public yet? And what's with this "we" business; you got a rat in your pocket?

I don't care if Mao is part of the industry or not... you have to provide some evidence to back up what you say or else it's all rumor! Everyone has to follow the rules and Moderators should do too. Hell any half wit can open their own DVD forum and be a moderator and say I'm part of the industry believe what I say.

Wow. Do a search on Mao's name, and tell me how many times he's been wrong.

If only the just packaged I, II and III together and left off "The Next Karate Kid" altogether. That movie was apiece of s---. However Hillary Swank was pretty cute in that movie.

I would have prefered all three movies, with a 4th disc of bonus materials for just those 3 movies. Listen up, Columbia, everyone hates the 4th installment.

How about looking at historically how often they are right? If they have a history of being right, they most likely aren't lying about having industry connections.
