I found a perfect copy of the Fantasia Anthology at a local video warehouse recently for $29.99. It was a store that offered everything they had at buy 2 get 2 free, so I also picked up 3 other dogs that were priced at $4.99 each, so with tax, I was in about $37.00. I then took the 3 dogs to Blockbuster and got $8 apiece for them in store credit, so my total for the OOP Fantasia set ended up being about $12...

For brand new retail product it was Gotcha for $1.99. For used from a website (Ebay, Half, etc.) it was A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 for $.50. For used period it was when someone gave me Amelie for free because they had gotten it for a gift and thought it was "gay."

I picked up Criterion's Monty Python's Life of Brian for $12 used.
From Columbia House I got Friend's Seasons 4 & 5 for $5 each. Also got Dragonheart DTS for $5.
When I was getting the defective disc for Argento's Opera (which I picked up the LE at the swap meet for $10) replaced, Anchor Bay sent me Supergirl International version for FREE as "sorry for the defective disc".

The pawns have always been my source for the best deals, sometimes $4, sometimes $6 apiece. Got the POTA set at the pawns for $20. The Wallyworld sale of Escape From New York SE last year for under $11.

My best deal of all time was when I was at my local video store, and they were trying to rid of all there tv-on-dvd titles (it was before the genre got big) and I ended up picking up X-files Season 1-5 for $10 a piece, and Sopranos Season 1 & 2 for the same price. But the last week I've gotten Buffy season 7 for $17.77 at target, and smallville season 3 for $25 at costco (with coupon and cashier mistake).

I bought a $600 gift card at Amazon on my credit card and picked up The X-Files: Seasons 1-9 for $629.87. That means I only paid $29.87 for all 9 seasons! That's an average cost of $3.32 per season!!!
I also once bought a used Criterion on Ebay in "Acceptable" condition that was all scratched-up and missing the box for $15! Half price! On a Criterion!
Another great deal I got was when I stole $200 worth of DVD's from BestBuy! They were all free!
[apologies for the sarcasm]

I guess its not a deal, but I got the Bug's Life UE free when it originally came out. It was about $40-$50 or so at the time (dont remember exactly).
The online site took forever to ship it, when I complained, they wanted to keep my business so they said they wouldn't charge me. I got it about 3-4 weeks after it was released, but free.
It was odd.

The Godfather set from Target for $19.99 with a raincheck, various DVD's with Madden 05' 20% off coupons at Best Buy, and most recently a mint copy of the 2 disc Big Trouble In Little China S.E. at a used DVD store for $8.99.

Fairly new to this forum and DVD for that matter, but here's my best deals so far. Not that great.
Jackie Brown: CE, Cast Away: SE 2D, Entrapment: SE, Squirm - All used, all $4 each. Jackie Brown and Cast Away have some scratches on their first discs, but they play fine and for $4 each I don't care so much. All other discs look brand new.
Family Guy vol 1 from Target on BF for $17.77.

I've gotten a ton but I don't think I've topped this one:
Some of you may know that TWEC stores (FYE, Coconuts, etc.) give ridiculously high trade-in values for some video games. For example, Motor Trend Lotus Challenge, which costs $3 new at EBGames, fetches $27 in store credit at TWEC stores. About a year ago, I traded in some cheap games, which cost me a total of about $40-45, and netted $200 in store credit. When my local Coconuts closed down due to poor sales, they ran a 50%-off sale on all used DVDs. At the time, TWEC stores sold all used DVDs at 50% off of MSRP (it's now higher). So I got a ton of DVDs at 75% off MSRP. The best part is, my local stores sell a lot of factory-sealed DVDs as used (because customers trade in unwanted gifts, but the stores can't resell them as new). So I got:
Sopranos Season 3 (new)
Sopranos Season 4 (new)
Oz Season 1 (used)
Oz Season 2 (used)
NYPD Blue Season 1 (used)
8 1/2 Criterion (used)
Finding Nemo (new)
Pirates of the Caribbean (2 copies) (new)
Alice in Wonderland (new)
Klonoa 2 PS2 (new)
Final Fantasy X PS2 (used)
for $197 credit (tax included), which cost me about $40-45 out of pocket. I know it's not technically a deal because of the effort required to trade in the games, but it was still excellent.
I then sold Klonoa 2 on half.com for about $40 after commission.

I go to the flea market with my father in the summer. He was going around buying vhs & dvds for us to resell. He came back with a few dvds to sell & one he said I might want to keep. He had bought Sex & The City Season 3 from someone for $3. Apparently they were selling the dvds for someone else & didn't know how much it had cost. At the time I think it was like $30-40 at local stores.
