I think one of the best deals I got in was pre-ordering Snow White at the Disney store...you also got one of their out of print DVDs, Snow White lithographs and a Snow White Pin for $19.99.

I haven't got this one yet, but I will:
The season 1 sets for Night Court, Full House, Murphy Brown, Jamie Foxx, Wayans Bros, & Fresh Prince are all up for preorder at CH.
I can get them all on 2 accounts by ordering them in January on the last day of free shipping. They are 22.46 each, but that makes the relative price for each 10.26.
10.26 times 6 sets equals 61.56. Subtracting the 50.00 mail in rebate leaves 11.56 for the 6 sets or 1.93 per set!!!
Jamie Foxx & Wayans Bros will be blind buys for me, but if I don't like them I can always sell them. If I were to sell those 2 for more than 5.78 each (shouldn't be a problem), I would actually come out ahead on this deal.

I got the Looney tunes vol 2 for $21.99 at costco on tuesday.
I asked if they were still doing the $10 rebate and when the manager scanned the set it did not come up that way so he told the guy at the register to give it to me for $31.99 with the $10 rebate. I guess the cashier thought he meant to take $10 off from the $31.99 total. I did not notice until I got home.

totally free:
gladiator (for going to CC and testing some speakers)
had a rain check from kmart for the mummy for 9.44, i tried to use it on the mummy returns and the guy couldn't figure anything out so he told me to just take it. lol.
i've won from various dvd sites;
citizen toxie
donnie darko
mr. bean collection
legend of hell house
poison ivy
blue velvet
...7 samuria, hidden fortress, and ran from one, but they shut there doors and i never got anything.
plenty of amazon screw ups where they charged me nothing and one time when they even refunded the 50 gc as well.
bad deals;
bought platoon se at borders for 19.99 becuase i was just really really in the mood to see it.
bought the wizard of gore at bestbuy.com with a ten dollar off gc, with their tax and shipping at the time, the 19.99 dvd cost me 17 plus.

Found a copy of Flash Gordon for $5. Goog, THe Bad, The Ugly for 6.25 PM'd at Circuit City. Got in on the Buffy S7 and The Family Guy S1&2 for 17.77 today.
I forgot about all of the DVDs I received from Reel.com back in the day. I just loved that trivia contest.
I also received 2 copies of the Cheerleader Collection by accident.
Oh.. then there was that Jay & Silent Bob Defective disc. Called to get a replacement. Turned out to be my player so I gave a copy to a friend.
I don't know what I'd do if I saw a used copy of The Killer or Hard Boiled Criterions. I'd probably start sweating profusely at the counter as I was paying for it.

A couple nice deals on ebay last month...$12.00 for the Twilight Zone (2002) Season set, and 17.00 for the New Avengers First Season set.
Also found a copy of Flash Gordon in the used section of Media Play for $6.99, case and dvd like new. I love it when people don't know what they have...lol

A few years ago, I bought a couple DVD's from an adult site (I can't recall which site). A couple months later, they sent me a free DVD in an effort to entice me into ordering from them again. I didn't place another order, but for a few months, every six weeks or so I received another free DVD (five total).
On a similar note, when my first daughter was born we were cleaning out my old computer room to turn into her bedroom. I was putting some shelves up in the closet and my dad had come over to help. I was working on the shelves while he and my son were finishing up on the closet. On the closet floor, my dad found a copy of Jenna Loves Rocco on DVD. I have absolutely no idea how it got there. I've never purchased the movie, and had never seen it until that point. The only two people I could think of that may have brought something like that to my house had also never bought or seen it. It's a complete mystery how it showed up, but I'm not one to look gift porn in the mouth, so I didn't complain.
A year or so ago, I was submitting a lot of reviews on Amazon. They sent me a couple free DVD's for this. I thought it was cool at the time, but forgot about it until a month or so ago. Even though I hadn't written a review in over a year, they sent me a free copy of the new Around the World in 80 Days. That's one I'd like a refund on, though.
Another free one I'd prefer a refund on is Pearl Harbor. The first time I joined the CH DVD club, this was one of the Directors Selections. I declined. A couple weeks later, it arrived in the mail. My wife, thinking it was something I'd ordered, opened it and threw away the box. I called and told them what happened, then asked for a shipping label so I could send it back without paying. They refused to send me one. I called back several times, and they finally said I'd had it too long and had to pay for it. I explained that I had declined, didn't want it, and wasn't going to pay for it. They finally sent me a letter saying they were going to get a collections agency involved. I decided to change my tactics and called back and said I'd never received it. They cleared it off my account.
For all intents and purposes, I paid only $35.99 for the Seinfeld Gift Set. I pm'ed at Best Buy, taking it to 68.99. I then used $3 in Monopoly bucks (they wouldn't let me use more), taking it to 65.99. I then used the $30 I'd just received for a rebate I shouldn't have received, taking it down to $35.99. (The rebate was from CompUSA for a router I'd bought. They had a $30 rebate for the router, a $30 rebate for the wireless USB receiver, and a $30 rebate if you bought both, plus some software or something. I misread the last one and sent it in anyways. It took 3 or 4 months, but after receiving two emails telling me I wasn't qualified for it, it arrived Tuesday morning.)
Some other deals:
Almost Famous Bootleg for $6.89 US from Amazon.ca
West Side Story SE from Best Buy for 7.50 (pm'ed Target's misprint)
Hulk with the Kraft UPC's
Around the World in 80 Days free from Amazon (actually, I want a refund on this one)
Ric Flair Ultimate Collection, Beyond the Mat SE, WWE Bloodbath used for 12.50 apiece
SOTL, Robocop, Passion of Joan of Arc & For All Mankind CC used for $15 apiece
Last Temptation of Christ CC $12.50 used
Aeon Flux for $10, IIRC
8 of Kino's Buster Keaton discs used for $5 apiece.
Last Days of Disco $10 used
I'm No Angel $14 used
Total Movie #1 (with the Troops short) free for just submitting my name online
Total Movie 40 Movie set, free for subscribing. Not only did I get the set, but I still get an issue of Cinescape from time to time
Warners Legends Collection--during the first DDD 20% off sale, I ordered this. For some reason, it gave me the 20% off twice just on this item, so I got the set for about $30.
