Great movie. Will definitely be picking this up. Hope it gets a good R1 treatment, given that I'm not region free (or at least I'm not with my good DVD player/TV -- only with the crappy ones in the bedroom).

Why I'm waiting
From what Edgar Wright (the film's director) said at Comic-Con this year in San Diego, his goal is to port over everything from the R2 disc and add some new stuff for R1. It;s the reason I haven't gotten the R2 yet. (Not that I'm holding my breath for a Spaced R1 set).
I also made sure to ask Wright if the version we saw at Comic-Con (and that was released in theaters) was the "longest possible director's cut" of the film, and he said it was, so no multi-dipping, a la the film's antecedent, Dawn of the Dead.

If there are any new things I will have no problem double dipping on this. Such a fantastic movie.
I hope that they put the extras on another disc since the R2 is overflowing with extras.

Cant wait to pick it up, loved it!
Now if we could only get Undead from down under to get a release here. I want to see it on the big screen, its another good zombie type flick.

Personally, I like the prospect of an Italian horror filmmaker re-cutting 'Shaun' to make it more of a straight horror movie... sounds intriguing.

I saw Shaun in the theater and thought it was great. If you are a fan of The Office (british tv show) you will notice some familiar faces. I'm glad its going to have most of/or all of the same extras as the R2 disc. Can't wait.

I can virtually guarantee that all of the R2 supplements will be carried over. Why? Because, LAST WEEK, I finally broke down and bought the R2 edition. I figured "there's no way in hell they'll put all of this on the R1 edition".

Well that's good news about the R1 getting all the R2 extras and potentially more. I'm not sad that I picked up the R2. seeing it at home over and over again has been a blast.
Though I really doubt SPACED will come out in R1.
