You guys all owe me for getting the SE to finally happen... since I just gave in and bought the regular edition a week ago. :grunt:
|
You got served!
|
Yep, I finally buckled and bought the regular version recently, so that pretty well guaranteed that a SE was just around the corner.
|
Yep. All $10 of it. Damn! I think it has happened to everyone at least once. :)

Originally posted by Jackskeleton This is fox folks. I can say that in the coming future you will see a lot of re-releases and double dipping. I wouldn't be surprised if it was by early next year. At the price of the current one it's not to bad to pick up it either. So, the way it goes is: Put a massive damper on expectations for an SE release...old inventory gets bought up..announce brand new SE for early next year. How do they do it? Acting! Brilliant! Thank you! |
I hope there's a collector's box set that includes a red swingline stapler.
Awesome News!!!!!!!!! |
Finally... Those years of waiting have paid off. My life's dream has been accomplished. I can soon die happy.
Err, I mean: cool, I'll have to pick this up. |

Sources at 20th Century Fox have just confirmed with me that the long-awaited Office Space: Special Edition is finally a go! The studio and director Mike Judge are currently hard at work on the disc, which is tentatively planned for release in early 2005. There's no other details available at the moment (so don't ask - it's too early in the process), but the title IS finally coming and you can bet we'll keep you up to date on this as things progress. How's that for a way to stave off a bad case of the Mondays? Thats the details on digitalbits. |
Release date: Aug-02-2005
|
just a note that this was added to the OOP list in the store i work in to be sent back to the vendor...so its coming around the corner.

Thanks for the date. Can't wait!!

So it's been a couple more months, and 8/2 is less than two months away. Is this still coming? Anyone hear anything further?
|
Yeah...things are getting press releases for october and november at this point. I'm a little worried.
|
As listed on the Rumor Mill -=- from the digital bits.
" You'll be glad to know that the long-awaited Office Space: Special Edition is currently slated for release in the 4th Qtr of this year." |
DVD Aficionado has it listed as November 1, but that's the same street date as SW Ep III, so who knows.

The existing release of Office Space is in the bargain bin at Walmart.
A good sign that the re-release is coming soon. |

One would hope the add and supposed cover art in the Donnie Darko DC DVD is a sign that it does exist/will get released

We all know that this is going to happen...it's just a matter of when. Every single source (Mike Judge, 20th Century Fox, various online sites, etc.) has indicated that there will be an Office Space: SE. DVD Aficionado has surprised me before with their accuracy...maybe they're right with this one, too.
|
Latest from the Rumor Mill (7/5/05):
And here's a bit of good news... the long awaited Office Space: Special Edition is shaping up for release in early November. --THX |

From The Digital Bits:
"Fox will release the Office Space: Special Edition (with More Flare) on 11/1. Look for the DVD to include a new anamorphic widescreen transfer, deleted scenes, a behind-the-scenes documentary and audio commentary with writer/director Mike Judge. FYI, a UMD version of Office Space will also be available on 11/1." |
No Milton shorts?! Boooooooo....
(watch them show up only on the UMD version) |

So it looks like Star Wars and Office Space ARE showing up on the same day eh? Looks like there's going to be a SPACE theme that day ;) |
What will it be rated? I saw this for the first time the other night on AMC and laughed hard. Later I saw it's rated R and wondered why.

Exactly. It is dumb shit like that, that turns legitimate consumers against them. So hopefully it won't come to that. |
