Considering the MSRP of that stapler (per your link) is nearly $32 - more than BB is charging for the set, I wouldn't count on it.

I'm not confused by anything by looking at the BB listings. I can come to the conclusion that it comes with those items listed, so the reason for paying more.

Well, I doubt a 'magnetic photo frame' can be a visual download...Guess we will all know shortly.

Thanks for the info although considering how long it took them just to put out this release, I think I'll grab it now.

You're welcome. Also, I didn't know that Mike Judge was responsible for Swingline releasing the red stapler. During his panel, he mentioned that Swingline never offered that. Then, once the movie was released, they got so many calls about it that they decided to make it a production model. Judge said that since Milton's desk was so packed, he wanted the stapler to stand out, so he had somebody paint one red...and it just caught on from there.

Coffee mug is going to rock!

Slowpc 10-24-05 03:27 PM

Well , just got back from work and we got the special editions in today. The box is pretty big... and features...

The dvd
- Stapler -=- Not the real deal , but not that bad of a stapler it looks.
- Mousepad - With a bunch of office space - style design and stills
- Coffee Mug - no... it is not what you all think it will be (innitech) but has Lumbergh on the front with his mug going "xxxxxxxxx" (can't read it on the back of the box)
- Magnet picture frame - Post-it designs on it. Looks about 4x6 or 5x7
- Notepad - TPS reports it looked like
- Pen/Pencil - Bic - style

Well.. we at work wished it had some more to it... and included the REAL stapler, but maybe they thought it would be too costly to add.

That is my report.... and yes... I did get the memo....

Zodo 10-24-05 05:10 PM

So where are all the people eating crow now... you know, the ones insisting that a 'magnet picture frame' and 'mousepad' were just things you'd download onto your PC.

Slowpc 10-24-05 06:54 PM

Well... at least there will be wallpaper downloads and stuff (that I know I don't use myself...) but the other stuff looks pretty good for the price.

Artman 10-24-05 07:17 PM

Does the DVD have a slipcover? :)

ShagMan 10-24-05 08:03 PM

Slowpc:  thanks for the report... gonna be getting this at BB!

Slowpc 10-24-05 09:06 PM

No idea , just checked on the shippers we got. and we focused on the boxset.

seymouru 10-25-05 10:40 AM

Looks like BB just lowered their pre-order price on the Gift Set from $24.99 to $22.99...

Cameron 10-25-05 10:44 AM

the slipcover looks like the filing cabinet. the actual cover is the old poster with milton behind the guy covered in post its

DJ_Longfellow 10-25-05 10:49 AM

Yep, I'm going to get this at Best Buy also....yeah

lamphorn 10-25-05 07:47 PM

I don't have a widescreen t.v., so I have no reason to upgrade with this weak slate of extras. Waiting for commentary and original animated short.

GameGenie 10-25-05 07:55 PM

It is a shame no milton shorts and commentary, those were the two things i was realy hoping to have on the dvd.

Cameron 10-25-05 11:25 PM

you know what should have come with this special edition...

two chicks at one time...

Nice.

rexinnih 10-26-05 09:16 AM

Too good of a price to pass up for the set. Anyone know how many of these are being made? Want to make sure I can pick one up at a BB store.

It doesn't matter if your TV is 4:3 or 16:9, what matters is the transfer is improved, so you will notice a better picture on a 27" 4:3 TV and a 64" 16:9 DLP TV. It is now anamorphic as well, but that only helps 16:9 TVs.

Slowpc 10-26-05 08:03 PM

I am sure , since it is a BB set .. .they will make a bunch.

Gizmo 10-29-05 02:57 PM

Just a heads up guys...

I just traded in my old copy of Office Space for $6 at Blockbuster....thats a REALLY good price to get rid of our old release copy.

Does the stapler at least look like the movie one? As in design and size? Or is it some little toy the size of a thumb?

I was a little disappointed with some of the downloads (included on the actual disc and present on both releases), but the many audio clips were kind of fun.

Also, people who hate subtitles being captioned for the hearing impaired are going to be pissed off.
