Anyone else planning on getting rid of their "Return of the Jedi" DVD?

Yeah, I'm doing it, I'm selling my copy of ANH on Ebay (available now!). There are too many audio and video screwups in this release for me. The music issues, the dialogue quality changing, and the abundance of green in the transfer that really bothers me. I just kept getting more and more pissed off as I was watching it. Why were the Indy DVDs so perfect and these are crap(ANH at least, I haven't watched the others)?

It's called sarcasm and humor kid. I'd think that you'd be very familliar with it since you hang around this place.

The point of the thread wasn't to see how much mad money I'd make by selling a single DVD, but rather whether anybody else, like myself, hates the movie and isn't interested in owning it. To say the question is "forum troll bullshit" is a demonstration of your lack of understanding the question.

Hey, if you don't like the film go for it. No sense keeping something you don't enjoy. Maybe the commentary will be good and you'll decide to keep it. Who knows?

I just remembered this thread. I ended up selling my whole box set - then I re-purchased Star Wars and Empire used from Hollywood video for $8 a piece.

I could see selling RotJ, but only to replace it with the original version. My preference will probably be for the original version once that's released. I liked the "Yub-Yub" song and I didn't care for the insertion of Hayden on the 2004 DVD.

Wow. You guys are really laying in hard on this guy. I'll tell you something, I like this forum and all, but the sheer amount of group-think and DVD-completists, OCD-types here astounds me at times. I can't even begin to count the number of times I've heard this: "I guess I'll buy DVD X, even though I really didn't like it that much". Why?
So, this guys doesn't like ROTJ and wants to sell it, big deal. WTF is it to you, other than the question he asked, which was : "Is anyone else here doing the same thing"? Well, obviously it would appear that the overwhelming majority of you aren't, but how about some tact in your responses. Jesus.
I personally agree with those who say it would make more sense for him to sell ESB and ROTJ, rather than ROTJ by itself, but its his choice. Honestly, at this point, I'm entertaining that very idea myself.
I am curious as to what you got for these two discs if you did sell them, Wannabe?

ROTJ was always inferior to SW & ESB, but it was still enjoyable enough to bring finality to the OT, so I will buy all three OT movies.
After watching TPM & AOTC, I began to rethink my stance on ROTJ, and maybe I was too hard on it, as now I understood that those two are the real awful SW movies, not ROTJ as I used to say in the mid 80's.
I can see how fans would just want SW & ESB, cause they are utter classics to their genre, maybe even #1 & #2 of all-time in that respect. Those movies are that good, and ROTJ isn't, plain & simple. But I think with the addition of Hayden in the SE, and the dumb new Jabbas Palace song, and the ending that focuses more on the worlds than Luke, Leia, and Han, maybe Lucas has brought me back to loving ROTJ alittle bit more after seeing the dreck in the SE. He turned me off so much with every addition he made in the SE, I love the O-OT even more now. How about that for irony.
Sebastian Shaw, welcome back to a galaxy far, far, away!
