Goodfellas is supposed to be released on Aug. 17 and I can't wait but My local Target will have it out on Aug. 3. That's what they printed in this weeks add and I called to check and the guy said they will have it out this Tues.

I'll be looking on Tuesday, i remember they had the Copland release a week or two early recently...don't think they advertised that one though.

If you check around and are a frequent buyer of DVDs sometimes you do find DVDs that are out a little early due to an employee mistake, I don't really consider it a bad mistake though. Blockbuster has been the most consistent store to put out discs early from what I have noticed.

walmart put out six feet under season 2 three weeks early here.

Just got back. After furiously searching, a supervisor told me they would have it on the 17th. Pretty much what I expected.

They advertized a title breaking street date and if they really sell it before street date, they are shooting themselves in the foot. Anyway, just 2 more weeks to go...

There's nothing like seeing a buncha Italiano Gangster wannabes, sporting faux-leather jackets, greased hair and all, pushing and shoving each other in a Target Superstore, making their way to the aisle where Goodfellas SE is on display.

And to top off this scene, each of them run up to their mothers with a copy and say, "Please please please can I have this movie?!! Please mom! I'll wash the car, wash the dishes, and clean my room. Please. Please oh please. Mom? Mom? Can I?"

Bummer, i checked mine just in case, but no luck. Wish they hadn't had it in the ad and gotten my hopes up, but at least its only two more weeks.
