The NBA 2004 All-Star Game and the Rookie Challenge Game. Good chance I'll pick them up. But no doubt I'm owning the Lakers and Bulls dynasty set. No doubt.

These both look very good. I can't wait to get them.
I cant believe they are actually putting the All-Star game on dvd. I don't know if that will sell real well.

Agreed. If they're only going to put one conference finals game, I'd much rather see that game than the 2002 WCF Game 7. For Lakers fans, 2000 had to be more exciting with the 4th quarter comeback, plus the fact that it led to the first of three consecutive championships.

I can't wait to pick this up. DDD has it on preorder for $47.51, almost $8 cheaper than amazon.

So this one won't have the Sac/LAL game where Horry hit the game winner?

Just preordered Bulls Dynasty from DDD for $35. I'll probably get the Lakers set later on.

Just wanted to let you guys know that outpost.com (Fry's Electronic's Website) has both Lakers and Bulls sets for $35 each, what a steal.

Nah just Finals games. But of course they'll have some highlights of it on the DVD set.

OMG what a cruel comment. I suggest you issue an apology from the heart. The fans that intend to buy this set that have read your comments are deeply disturbed that you said this.

I called Magic Johnson and told him to read it. He did. He was crying like a baby. He cannot believe that you hate the Lakers. The whole team is having a hard time practicing, knowing that you hate them.

You should be ashamed.

I was interested in this at first, but I was hoping it would be all documentary-type stuff. I really have no interest in watching entire games over and over, especially since I know what happens. Oh well, it will just save me some money.

I hope they release these sets later at a lower MSRP without the games. I have no desire personally to see games in their entire that I already know the outcome of.

what are you talking about man, thats what would make this set amazing, i have been taping laker playoff games since the mid 80's, and i have watched them quite a few times, so this set is for the die hard fan, not the people who jump on band wagons

Outpost.com has it the cheapest but the shipping is a rip off. They wanted $6.93 to ship it to Los Angeles, plus I had to pay tax so it is definitely not worth getting it there.

If they wanted to show the best games from the 3 most recent Laker championships, IMO, they should have shown Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals (the comeback against Portland), Game 2 of the 2001 Western Conference Finals (LA came back from 14 down on the road in San Antonio and won to go up 2-0 en route to a sweep), and Game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals (LA came back from 24 down against the Kings and won on Horry's buzzer-beater 3-pointer).

It's too bad they aren't showing Game 6 of the 1988 Finals, where the Lakers won despite Isiah Thomas having something like 25 3rd quarter points on a badly sprained ankle. However, James Worthy's classic triple-double in Game 7 of that series is a great game as well. I wonder if there will be much (or any) footage of the championship parades on these discs.

The Lakers set is missing a few games:

2000 Western Conference Finals Game 7
"Kobe......To SHAQ!!!!!!!"

2002 Western Conference Finals Game 4
"Horry for the WIN!!!!!!!"

Luckily I have both games on tape....would like better quality version though.

It came out to $3 cheaper for me at outpost than ddd. I would've ordered from outpost first if I knew it was cheaper there, but for $3 I'm not going to go through the hassle of cancelling my ddd order to reorder from outpost.

I'll pass on the Lakers. The Celtics and Bulls might be interesting, though.

I wouldn't count on that. It seems when they release NBA DVDs they appear for a short time and poof...they are gone. It's as if they make one batch of them and that's it. I originally held off on buying the recent championship DVDs of the Lakers & Spurs but they are hard to find right now.

Thanks for the heads up. Just placed an order for the Lakers set. They also have NBA at 50 for only $8 which I scooped up.

Those are the championship videos they put out each year after the Finals, basically a scrapbook/highlight film of that season's champ. I'm not sure if those are out on DVD already or not, I know I've seen them all on VHS but it'll be nice to have them altogether.

FYI - For those in the LA/OC area, Best Buy in Mission Viejo has put the Lakers, as well as Bulls, sets early. Picked it up last night for $44.99
