Compromising your principles already..or will-power breaking already?

This is one of the most stupid decisions I have ever read about. Why on earth have two simultaneous releases of the same transfer? Something is rotten in Denmark. We are not being told the rest of the story. I am certainly not buying two copies of the same film.

Yes, my willpower is collapsing. I can't bring myself to not buy a Blue Underground release, yet I must have the special edition from Media Blasters.

man...a little off track here, but...I'm getting pumped for The Final Countdown limited release!!! I have it pre-ordered since I'm not taking a chance with this BU project. I'm not counting on any retail store stocking this...at least on day 1.

Just a shout out for the upcoming SCUM release. It's a great film if you've never seen it. A youth-in-prison movie with some great characters and a few heart-wrenching scenes...

I bought the U.K. disk as one of my first purchases when I went all-region, thinking "well, this will never get a release here!" Imagine my surprise to see that it's not only getting released, but by my favorite company!

thanks for the shout out. I have not seen it, yet I'm not treating it like a blind-buy either. with BU in control...I have no worries. looking forward to this addition.

The problem is that Blue Underground has never disappointed me. Every release has been high quality. Every release has actually been a film which interested me. How can I resist such temptation?

I will be in stores looking for this on March 30. I still need to pick up Fight For Your Life, which Best Buy is not getting until March 30. Then next month I need to purchase the two disc Django with the eight minute Franco Nero featurette and the two disc Cronenberg. I am so happy. I never thought I would see some of these films released in such great editions.

The title alone intrigues me. I think this will be part of a box set.

Yes...with being a British director and myself living in the UK i've seen a few of his films on UK Tv channels over the years...Scum amongst them (although quite some time ago)...i remember it having Ray Winstone in it who basically has been cast as an east-end hardman type character ever since ...also it has another actor i don't see much of but always been a fave of mine...Phil Daniels...you may have seen and heard him on a pop video by Blur (Parklife).
Of the other Alan Clarke films..i've seen Made In Britain and the non PC..gritty comedy...Rita,Bob And Sue Too.

well they are releasing one i am going to resist. At first I thought MY BRILLIANT CAREER was a giallo from Australia, but it turns out to be a female drama, I do not think I need to buy this, as if they start releasing more commerical/mainstream stuff, I wount buy it just because BU is releasing it. I hope this wount be a sign that they will stop releasing all those mondo cult stuff.

My Brilliant Career is brilliant cinema (and a must buy for me), but would be a bizarre release for BU.

I'll believe it when it's more than rumored.

Best Buy had it in their computer as having a release date of 30 March. They frequently get release dates entered incorrectly and thus order items late. Of course, their employees do nothing to attempt to remove the error, such as reporting it.

That did strike me as an odd release for Blue Underground, but, as you say, it is only a rumor at this point.

Salon Kitty was a big surprise to me. It is actually an art film disguised as a porno film. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
