Nice to see individual releases of the Alan Clarke films on that list for NEXT FREAKING MONTH. Oh, and I forgot, those individual Mondo Cane reissues? They never even appeared on the site! They're STILL not there! Now tell me, how in the freaking hell would anyone even know about them, considering finding them in a B&M store borders on the impossible?
Argh. This company is heading for trouble and it's all their fault.

I noticed something unusual when looking at BU's website for "coming soon" titles...both AMAZON JAIL and BARE BEHIND BARS are at a pricepoint of 29.95, rather than BU's usual 19.95. The only extras on either title are trailers. They certainly don't seem to be a limited or special edition. And instead of being DVD9's, they are listed as DVD5's.
Does anyone else find this a bit odd, to put it politely?
By the way...I totally agree with the folks complaining about BU's lack of interest in updating their website regularly. I found the two Mondo Cane repackages at Best Buy for 14.99 a piece, a few months ago, and let out a howl of delight. And they still haven't shown up on their website, either...but they have updated their Future Releases:
MIDNIGHT BLUE VOLUME 4: FREAKS & GEEKS
Year: 1976-2002
Director: N/A
Stars: Al Goldstein & Ron Jeremy
MIDNIGHT BLUE VOLUME 5: PORN KING
Year: 2006
Director: James Guardino
Stars: Al Goldstein & Larry Flynt
SUCCUBUS
Year: 1968
Director: Jess Franco
Stars: Janine Reynaud & Jack Taylor
RED LIPS DOUBLE FEATURE:
TWO UNDERCOVER ANGELS & KISS ME, MONSTER
Year: 1969
Director: Jess Franco
Stars: Janine Reynaud & Rosanna Yanni
I've already got both of the Franco films being released as a two-fer in their Anchor Bay incarnations...I don't know if I really like them enough to upgrade...but doesn't Lustig also have the rights to most of the Argento and Fulci titles previously put out by Anchor Bay?
I guess the Midnite Blue smut is proving to be profitable.
This probably has been mentioned earlier in this thread, but I feel Anchor Bay has gone downhill considerably since Blue Underground got off the ground. Their "In The Future" section hasn't been updated in probably 10 months. The titles they're putting out now...mostly, blah...it's probably much more difficult for them to get hold of some of these titles now, with such newcomers as NoShame and Mondo Macabro coming onto the scene, God love 'em.
I'm still a fan of BU...albeit a bit less so now than a couple of years ago...been skipping the Midnite Blue titles and some other stuff...meanwhile I've been getting every single NoShame and Mondo Macabro title as they are released. I have no problem with NoShame putting a title like DOUBLE GAME at 29.95---the extra features justify the price, especially when it's basically a double feature set.

Yeah, strange. They hadn't updated anyway since The Big Racket and those films came out. I really hope they're still alive. This release of Daughers of Darkness looks really good, too.
