Again.
Woohoo~!

If that place has it at $29.98, then it'll more than likely be cheaper at other places, awesome.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one. I don't want to get my hopes up again after the debacle with DDD. If in fact it is being re-released let me just say, "IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME!"
Seriously though this was one of my favorite shows when I was younger and I would buy it in a heartbeat, especially for $30. Thanks to RobCA for the heads up!

Has anybody used oldies.com before? I'm curious if they will charge my credit card up front for the pre-order, or wait until it ships. I guess I'm a little hesitant to actually place the order until I see who else will be selling it, (online and B&M's).

Just to let everyone know, I received this in the mail yesterday from Oldies.com... (pauses as he waits for hooting and hollering and various applause).
I was actually shocked that it showed up so early. According to their site it wasn't supposed to be out for another month or so. I did not receive any shipping email from them so I assumed it was still on pre-order, but lo and behold there it was in my grubby little hands! I'm curious if anyone else got a pleasant surprise in the mail this week.
I watched the fourth episode on the second disc and the picture quality definitely looked worse than the original one-disc release. Oh well, at this point I'm just happy to finally have it, especially for $30!

I actually haven't watched the first disc yet because I had seen the previous release a few times before. I'm pretty sure that the first disc is identical, although it does have different artwork for continuity's sake. I think there are links with the artwork at the beginning of this thread.
And to answer the other question, yeah the quality seems to vary from episode to episode. For example, some episodes will seem brighter or sharper than others. I even noticed on one episode during the opening credits that a small CC (Closed Caption) appeared in the lower right hand part of the screen. It's like somebody just transfered their old VHS recordings off of TV onto the DVD's.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just happy to finally have this set after the whole debacle. I doubt it would ever get re-released with a proper transfer, but you never know...
