Shawshank which to get? Code1 or 2

Hi guys

Not sure if this has been discussed before but with the Shawshank Redemption release dates getting closer, I wonder which is a better deal ?

Region 2, 3discs:
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?sear...Go.x=16&Go.y=8

or Region 1, 2 discs:
http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?c=4207&s=1

Anybody knows how long is the disc3 interview (Region 2)?

Personally, I went for the 3-disc Region 2. Here is info for the third disc. Hope it helps you to make a decision.

Disc Three - Bonus Features: Extended sessions from the interviews featured in the Shawshank The Redeeming Feature documentary, the vintage making-of-featurette and theatrical trailer

*Tim Robbins complete interview (Andy Dufresne, Inmate 37927) (27:21mins)
*Morgan Freeman interview (Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding) (20:54mins)
*Bob Gunton interview (Warden Samuel Norton) (37:45mins)
*William Sadler interview (Heyward, Inmate 32365) (32:24mins)
*Clancy Brown interview (Capt. Byron Hadley) (15:41mins)
*Behind-the-scenes (9:23mins)
*Theatrical Trailer (Full Screen)

I went with the three disc R2 as well. The interviews with the cast should prove to be not only insightful but entertaining as well.

I am not region free, so it will have to be region 1 for me.

Japan could be, that's still region-2 for reasons I've never quite understood. You should ask on the "other regions" forum, I bet somebody there will have the answer. (May even be answered already, if you check the search.)

Anybody knows a R2 store who sell to U.S. customers? Play.com doesn't have US in the delivery options

Plus, what other R2 dvds should I get? I'm thinking about "Spaced (3disc)" and "Shawn of the Dead".

Thanks!

CD-WOW comes to mind. Ask in the International Forum. I have used CD-WOW a number of times and been very satisfied.

re: r2 stores...THIS is the thread you're looking for.

You might also want to spend some time in the International forum.

No. I believe the 3-disc will only be released onto Region 2 UK. Seem to be the best version to be released.
