Thanks for the scans, indeed. Grossly overpriced, but definitely something I'll get at some point. Certainly is an odd way to release the show, by not sending info to retailers.

Hopefully the newly-issued Discs 2 through 5 showcase better video quality than Volume 1.

I wonder... maybe BMG had already produced Volumes 2-5, but just never released them. It would make sense considering the volumes look alike, and it has been 3 years since the last release. Are there dates on the back of the DVD covers?

Update...

I placed my order yesterday when DDD said the shipping date was 1/27/2004. However, my order did ship. So it seems that date is incorrect.

Disc 1 has 2000 and 2003 copyright dates. The others only have 2003.

I tried twice to order this set from DVDPlanet, but the order was cancelled because "quantity is discontinued" though it's listed "in stock" on their site. Then I ordered it from DDD and don't get any reaction.Do you guys realy have this set?

dmras,

I got mine on Thursday and have already watched the first disc. It IS real. Maybe this wasn't suppose to be released so soon? All I know is i'm glad I ordered when I did.

BTW, I really think BMG completed all the DVDs way back in 1999 when they released Disc 1. Maybe the sales for Disc 1 sucked so bad they shelved the porject until now when My So-Called Life came out (same company, same look for the boxset).

Just ordered this from DDD. Don't know if they are still shipping these out early or not. I received a confirmation email from them, but it didn't actually say if it was shipping... DDD seems to be the only place that even has this listed.

Subject: Online Contact

Hi,

Can you bring some light to the mystery of Eerie Indiana TV series box set
release?
I couldn't find any official announcement of this release, though two online
shops seem to be selling it DVDPlanet and Deep DiscountDVD.DVD Planet shows
it "In Stock" and DDD shows release date 01/27/2004.Some guys in DVD talk
forum wrote that they already got it "BMG Special Products / AIX Media Group
Stock # 75517478949".
Can you confirm that this box set is really released?

Sincerely

Dmitri

Dmitri,

Per your inquiry, I can confirm that the Eerie Indiana Series Boxset has NOT been released and will not be released until early 2004.

Please check back with us for information on the series release. As of now, the release date is on a TBD status.

It looks like I may be waiting for a long time for my eerie indiana to ship. I guess I'll just have to pop in my disc one and watch those 3 episodes again.

Yep, looks like that’s just what’s happened.

What exactly was the mystery you were hoping to "solve" dmras? DDD and DVDPlanet had/have it and were shipping. People posted pictures of the actual set and still you didn’t believe them?! Now those etailers are not shipping.

Indy defects?

I noticed when playing back the first two Indy dvd's I heard, what I thought to be, noticeable rumbling distortion at the very end of the THX intro--the deep bass note.

Assuming my subwoofer was to blame, I tried playing it back at the local audio shop and I heard the same strange rumble noise.

Anyone else hear the odd noise? Could it be defects in my dvds or the subwoofers?

thanks.
