Another case of duplicate DVD covers from an actor
Inspired by the old Tom Cruise cover thread, I wondered why the cover to the new title "Trapped" (Kevin Bacon) looked so much like the pose from the "Stir of Echoes" cover.

While I realize it's impossible to keep coming up with original ideas for cover art, this, to me, is just lazy.
And although I wasn't able to duplicate the 'Tom Cruise cover art likeness phenomenon,' I did notice that Tom Cruise was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon, making that connection in only 1 degree.

Of course the actors are different, but look at the head shots of McQueen and Willis on The Great Escape and Hart's War. The way they're posed is almost identical.

Maybe it's just me?

I'm not sure why this made me laugh so much, but it did. Thank you.

I realize that the lower Carrot Top image is of a VHS, but if you look closely, you can see how they've cropped the image to fit on that box. Isn't it about time we extend demands of OAR to the artwork???

Actually, it's the same idea as all the art that was hacked to death when going from Vinyl to Cassette. Hopefully most of you, who read this, are old enough to remember the LP to tape transition?? Anyone? Please????

Even though the Star Wars and Conan posters have the same sort of pose, European Vacation and Joe Dirt have the woman holding the leg and the dog between the legs, which lead me to believe they were 'direct' spoofs.
p.s. Even the horizon line (slooping down from the left to right) is very similar.

absolutely agree. That and the fact that Venus Beauty is not 16/9...they never made it to my collection. Got the R2s instead....
