My first was The Company of Wolves [R2], not because of the case but because it was superior to the R1 release. I like the Steelbook case, but I generally buy whatever has the superior release of the film. In most cases it means Blu Ray which means I have to pass on a lot of the exclusive cases. My last Steelbook was the German T2 HD DVD.

Appleseed, Limited Edition, was my first, but I'm not actually into collecting steelbooks. I only go for them when they are an easy choice.

Cloverfield for me. I think...Off the top of my head that is my final answer...it might actually be my only one...and its a fairly cheap feeling "steel" book.

Just got my first, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2-Disc for $5 new in wrapper from Amazon. I think I understand the appeal now
