By the way, I'm sure this should go in the "Best deal you've ever gotten" thread, but I finally bought two of the Batman SEs last night after drooling over them since day one. Saw 'em at BEST BUY on sale for $9.99 each, and with the $22.99 price tags still on 'em, I couldn't resist! When I got to the register with all my stuff, the total was WAY lower than I expected it to be (well, $10 lower, anyway). Turns out, they were indeed $9.99 each, but also buy-one-get-one-free! Woo freakin' hoo!!!

Yeah. The whole Best Buy/$9.99 snafu has been up in the Bargins Forum since Sunday. I picked up V for Vendetta & The Philadelphia Story (both 2-Discers) for $9.99 with tax. Also - They both still had their slipcovers!

I think the deal died this afternoon.

In other words, it wasn't just a box-like thing that held both movies, it was like each had its own fold-out slipcover, and they just glued them together back-to-back.

I might need to be less tired to understand that sentence. I can't picture what that's supposed to look like. Sleepy.....

They sound like slipcovers to me tho. I'll add 'em to the list.

EDIT - Is this the one you're talking about?

Yep, that's the one. Instead of being a box where the two movies can slide out together from the side, they're packaged back-to-back. Hold it up one way and you can open the flap to read about Billy Madison -- flip it over and open the flap, and you'll see details of the Happy Gilmore SE. The movies slide out from the top or bottom just like any other slipcover.

Bram Stoker's Dracula - SUPERBIT

I see that the master list (post #1) has Bram Stoker's Dracula - SUPERBIT listed as having a slipcase.

I have seen two of these (used) without the slipcase, and someone has told me that it never came with one. Can someone please confirm the inclusion of a slipcase on this title when it was originally released?

Thank you!

Also, I was at Circuit City today and saw that they have their own line of "exclusive" titles with Circuit City slipcases. Titles included X-Men.

For these store "exclusive" collections (Target, Circuit City, Wal-Mart), we might as well just assume ALL of them have slipcovers instead of listing them. Same for the Award Series.

MI: III is already listed but I don't believe the others are.

Thanks.

Didn't all the SUPERBIT titles have one? I'll concede that Panic Room had a weird package, and the SE of Silverado wasn't in a typical slipcover, but the standard silver-border SUPERBITs all had slipcovers, didn't they?

Any chance you have a complete list of titles? I'll try to drop by there soon, but I'm curious to know if there are any that I'd be interested in that my CC might not carry.

I'm sorry. I really didn't pay attention. I walked by and stopped in my tracks. I picked up the X-Men one and looked it over thinking "ANOTHER store collection?". I put it back and told myself I needed to go back with a pad & pen....which I now have in my pocket at all times! I'm tired of coming across these things and not having anything to write with.
