For the most part, ALL slipcases are usually First Print only. Lately tho, re-issues are showing up more and more with their own covers. The Leon slipcases are probably long gone by now unless you hit up a secondary market (ebay).

That'll take a load of my collection efforts since i can't find it anywhere. Thanks for the update....

Circuit City eh? Think I checked there awhile ago but I guess I will stop by again and look the next time I'm near it. Thanks for the heads up.

Slip Cover popularity...
Hey Folks,
Check this out, someone is selling just ONE slipcover on ebay with "Buy it Now" starting at $4.99 or best offer. It's the Disney Mulan 2 disc ed. I think this just shows how slipcover collecting is starting to blow up.
With studios making them more and more intricate and detailed like the new "40 Year Old Virgin", the multiple "Superman Returns" and "Ghost Rider" sc's and the best evidence yet is the new line of lenticular slipcovers and even the steelbooks which are nothing more than repackaging of existing releases.
I hope everyone is saving their duplicate slip covers because when sc collecting gets it's 15 minutes, you could make some money. Nothing like Pet Rock or Webkins money, but for me, just the recognition is cool.
Way to be ahead of curve Valeyard, your definitive slipcover list could become VERY popular VERY soon..
Here's the ebay link..

Now Vale, i'm still buggin over whether "National Treasure" is yes or no on the slipcover issue? Do you still have the Buena Vista number you called to get your Disney slip cover (Mary Poppins 40th, i think?)? Anyway, adds for the master list....
Die Hard (single disc reissue) - They rereleased the 1st 3 Die Hards to coincide with the new lame ass box set. The covers all have a similar look as the trilogy set. I'm still waiting for them to repackage the Sliver 6 disc box set, which will probably happen when "Live Free or Die Hard" hits DVD.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder (single disc reissue)
Die Hard with a Vengence (single disc reissue)
Parenthood (Special Edition) - Nice fold-out slipcover
Taps (25th Anniv Special Edition) - Staring at it right now
The Truman Show (Special Edition) - Never noticed this was missing from your list and i know this came with a sc, 1st week out Target or someone even had a nice lenticular one of the Truman mosaic

I'll do an update later in the week (if the Forum lets me!). Thanks for the new information.
I should get into the swing of things soon and give better weekly updates now. For the past month or so, I've been in the process of switching jobs so I've been bounced all over the place and not able to visit stores often enough to keep the Thread updated. Thanks to everyone who's chipped in.
SnapOnTool, I'm pretty sure National Treasure did not come with a slipcover. I bought it on the day of release (at Best Buy for the bonus disc) and never saw a slipcover for it anywhere. Since then, I've never come across a SC for it either because if I did....I would have double-dipped just for the cover. Anyone know if this was every re-released as an Award-Series or something?

Hope that helps.

If you would like a slipcover for a DVD that came with one, but you did not recieve one because you purchased the DVD later (or for whatever other reason), DISNEY WILL USUALLY SHIP ONE TO YOU if you call them and ask nicely (subject to them having the slipcover around, of course.) If you need to contact Walt Disney Home Entertainment Consumer Relations for a slipcover, or for any other reason (including if you are technical difficulties with a Disney DVD), they can be reached at 1-800-723-4763 (in the United States) or 1-888-877-2843 (in Canada.)

I was going to stop by CC to see if mine has Duel the next time I get a chance. Probably wait to ship to do them all at once to minimize the hassle as much as possible.

Also
Bridget Jones's Diary (Collector's Edition)
has a red slip cover that looks like a diary with a heart shaped cut out (no, i do NOT own it...saw it at Target.....really, just glanced at it. OK, it was on sale, but i'm taking it back...promise)

I haven't read this whole thread so I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but to me, a slipcase is different from a slipcover. Anyone else ever think this? So I have an issue with what you are all listing as slipcases -- these are slipcovers. A slipcase, to me, is like what the Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno SE's come in... or the Dr Strangelove 40th AE... or most of the Fox Cinema Classics Collection releases ... or the most recent Jaws release with the booklet. A cover slips over a DVD while a case holds a DVD. Right?

i have a few questions about slipcover collecting that i was curious about. didn't know if this was the right place to ask, but since it's a slipcover-dedicated post, i figured it might be:
1. is disney the only company that will send slipcovers out to customers if they did not receive them when purchasing?
2. if i purchased a dvd without a slipcover but find a version with it, what's the best way to get it? i'd hate to double-dip just for a slipcover, so would you purchase the dvd, remove slipcover, and then return the dvd later sans slipcover?
3. since the slipcovers technically do not have any monetary value (the dvds sell for the same price slipcover or not) will stores allow you to take them if you ask, particularly if you've already purchased the dvd already, just without the slipcover? anyone tried?
and finally, i noticed at best buy today that the "jurassic park adventure pack" is no longer being released in the sturdy box it initially came in. it looks like newer shipments have the insides shrinkwrapped, and then that is covered by a new slipcover with artwork just like the box. i don't know if this technically counts though. i didn't look to see if the UPC was located on the shrinkwrapped portion or on the slipcover itself. i'll have to check to verify.
