Ouch... I got left out... The 2 FYE stores in my area were "SOLD OUT" ... Each has only "5" on stock (3 on one store and 4 on the other reserved)

It appears that the Future Shop stores received a very small inventory.

The store that I went to, had them in a display that would hold 24 copies and they had 9 left when I left the store.

I was kind of surprised on the $19.99 sales price. There were 5 copies @ my local Suncoast and all of them were reserved. However the clerk there didn't mention anything about the rebate. I guess I will try the fyerebates.com route.

It's probably because this is 1 disc, and Transformers was 2 discs.

I just got back from my local Suncoast. The clerk told me that I got the very last Beowulf steelbook, so anyone who wants one better not wait. They were also doing a promotion with the Beowulf steelbook that if you bought a another DVD for $14.99 or up, than they knock the Beowulf price down to (I think) $15.99. It's probably YMMV though. Also, there was no MIR that people were talking about, so the above offer was probably in lieu of it.

didn't want to take any chances on missing out, so i just ran to Wherehouse Music and picked up the Beowulf Steelbook. :)

They had 6 left at my FYE. Went ahead and pre-ordered Sweeney Todd while I was there.

God I hope that "I Am Legend" is available here in American somewhere.

And I don't watch Battlestar, but that is some very cool packaging. If I were a fan, I'd be pissed I couldn't get other seasons like that to match, especially because they're slimmer on the shelf.

No there hasn't been. Us Americans are just hoping to get our hands on this without being bent over and screwed by resellers to buy it.


Also, for those who care, I added a DVDSpot entry for "Beowulf," but the TWEC version. Nothing really changed, except the cover now is the English-only one, but it's a separate entry. I'd never submitted one before, surprised how fast it went up.

Actually. I'm none too thrill about the design myself.. This was going to be a blind buy for me, the the biohazard symbol seems out of place and probably forshadowns omething about the movie..

I have just received photo confirmation that a DUNE Steelbook has been spotted in the USA. I am working on getting a location and /or store name.

i've seen it at Best Buy...

This is the Steelbook version and not the Viva version?
