Speaking of Dragon Ball Z Double Feature, the lowest that I have found it is $13.22 + shipping, on eBay.

final bid of $250.01...wow! that is more than I've seen "The Killer" Criterion go for.

i guess they just had to have it. i wouldn't call it dumb necessarily. excessive maybe, but if you want something bad enough and really think it is of that much value to YOU then how can you put a price on it? the V For Vendetta is poised to go that high at $202 with hours left to go.

The case in the picture is more of a tin than a Steelbook. Similar to "Band of Brothers, Superman Ultimate Collection and the R2 of Blade Runner Ultimate Collection".

I know they wrote Steelbook on there, but that certainly does not look like a Steelbook to me.

I know what it looks like, but remember that Battlestar Galactica is getting its own 6 disc Steelbook, and no one has seen what that will look like yet. Also, Fox is putting out the 24 set, and they are the only mainstream studio who has really embraced Steelbooks...I know it may not look like a Steelbook, but tvshowsondvd.com took the word "Steelbook" from the press release, they didn't add it on their own. Why not wait to see what Battlestar looks like before you start dismissing this set. Also, other places have reported the steelbook packaging as well, with hometheaterforum.com even stating that Fox is going Steelbook happy...

rmjnnj ...if you could delete your posts about these that would be cool to avoid confusion. thanks in advance.[/QUOTE]

I will do no such thing until it is confirmed officially.

I just read a report somewhere that Steelbook was considering the idea of making a case that can accommodate more than 4 discs to get into the market of box sets and tv sets. The 24 case is double-wide, and until there is more information, I will remain optimistic.

that maybe about the design, but it will not be the same as all the ones listed in the 1st post of this thread. they could be creating an entirely new package design, but cannot be grouped with any other traditional "steelbook" packaged DVD as they will not be the same size or shape.

Also, for all you naysayers...feel free to go to Steelbook's offical web page, and take a gander at the R2 Bourne Identity set, that clearly accommodates more than 4 discs. You will note that when it opens it contains discs on both the left and right sides of the case, but also contains a hinged swivel tray that has additional discs.

Please, in the future, do your research BEFORE you tell me something isn't coming out.

Thanks.

It contains 5 discs in a single width case...My bet is that 24 is double wide to make room for all 7 discs of 24.

again, i never said it wasn't coming out. all we are saying is that this and 24 are not traditional steelbooks. they may use the "steelbook" title, but they are not "steelbooks" like you will find on page 1 post #1. -fin-

I was definitely referring to when you said that Battlestar wasn't coming out as a steelbook.
