Only thing I'm worried about is that it won't have shrink wrap on it, like I left on the outer box of seasons 1-5, so it still won't match. .

I got my email as well. Good news.....

Every time I open that Homer Head and have to wrestle with the packaging I dislike it more.

I can't believe no one has this yet, or that FOX hasn't released at least a photo of it anywhere. For all we know they could be sending us turds in the mail.

I agree. Where are these being sent from?? I'm surprised no one here has received theirs yet

The website that someone posted earlier had a picure of the uk version and it looking like the uk box was just a box case and you put the homer head in it. Like it wasn't a new case with places to put the dvds but just a shell to slide the homer head in.

Are we getting like a good case like the older ones or is it just a shell??

If it's just the shell I'm selling the set as soon as I get it.

Yeah, let's just forget that it's one of the best seasons of Simpsons ever. I just can't fathom getting rid of a set of amazing DVDs because the packaging sucks...

They're probably torturing us on purpose. Most likely the cases haven't even shipped yet...

simpsonscollectors.com has a pic of the box. It is just an outer box. You have to put the inside of the Homer head in it. It doesn't have a top on it and it is paper thin.

There's no top. You just slide in the original package as is. The magnifying glass is transparent to show Homer's left eye from the original packaging after it's been inserted, so it ends up looking like the R2 box.

Just checked out the alternate box pics from link in the above post, and that absolutely blows. Old style packaging my @$$! This is definitely not the "old style, nothing new, just like before" box that Fox promised. Where is the digpack?! Blatant false advertising here if this is indeed what people will be receiving.

I'd prepared (and warned) for this wks ago. While anything is better than the happy-meal box we originally got, this is...yet again, dissapointing. The six wks and $3 just adds insult to injury. Here's hoping they at least offer both styles in retail next time around.

So, I guess it'll get a little dusty inside eh?
