Yeah i noticed that too. Not suprised, a lot of cover art looks the same these days. Haven't seen either of those movies though.

Yes. You'd have to be blind to say they don't look similar.

Not only that, but the titles of both movies begin with the letter "T"!

This cover similarity takes the cake...correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the movies completely unrelated in terms of characters and plot? I'm amazed at how similar the coverss are tho. Recently the Under Suspicion cover was changed...maybe becasue they were forced to?

Under Suspicion
Beyond Suspicion

Take a look at these. I assume it was the same "artists" that out these together (both are original one sheets as well):

Yeah, I hate the 'floating head' covers too. Yikes, they made Pesci look like frikkin' Mickey Rourke in that Casino poster!

Maybe we should resurrect the "Tom Cruise Profile" thread

DavisDVD use to have a whole section of the site dedicated to "Cover Rip-Offs" I liked going there and seeing the side by side comparisons(sp?) but sadly when Patrick redid the site he got rid of that section

Why, you get Naomi Watts's face in the title text, with the silhoette of a young child of course!

This one was an intentional spoof by TCM of The Breakfast Club.

I guess this is why DVDCA exists. I make some of my own covers to avoid the worst of the corporate creative bankrupcy.

BTW, when I saw the cover for Suspended Animation (it’s one of those random pop up that say coming soon or new review underneath it) in the upper left corner of the page, I thought for a second that they were releasing Delicatessen on DVD. I was ecstatic for all of one second and then fell hard.

Sure, it ain’t an exact rip off, but for that one second…

I do not know what happened here. These looked fine right after I posted, but when I refreshed they turned into little x’s. Oh well, the URLs are there for the curious.

HAHAHA. The two Brandon Lee movies use the EXACT same photoshoot picture, just a picture from a shot or two later.

Note, his stray hair strands are IDENTICAL.

This is a killer thread(but great though) for dail-up people!!
This may be off topic a bit but i remember during my Blockbuster days(most were hellish) anyway i recall when Wolf(VHS) came out you could put the cover boxes side-by-side in kind of a loop?! It's like it could be never-ending?! Anyone know what i mean? It was pretty cool.
